Over her tenure with IKS, she has grown up the ranks and is currently responsible for delivery excellence, customer satisfaction and growth enablement. She leads an agile team that prepares medical documentation of the patient visits and maintains the records in an electronic form.?

What are your educational qualifications??

I am a dental surgeon by training (gold medalist and university topper) and a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Intro 320 (US Business and casualty insurance certification) professional. Additionally, I am PMP trained with 35 PDUs and planning for the certification program soon.

What is your current job role??

I am currently leading the Virtual Scribe Implementations team as Associate Vice President. I am responsible for ensuring successful new client implementations by coordinating with onsite and offshore teams.

What inspired you to choose a different route as opposed to clinical practice??

The degree of impact that a medical professional can make in healthcare is immense and is not limited to clinical practice because there are several aspects of Healthcare where we can contribute and by choosing this route I am able to make a global impact and at the same time expand my horizon.?

How do you feel about your current job? Would you recommend this option to other medical graduates??

I am happy with what I do as I believe that my work is positively affecting several lives and helping me grow as a professional. I will definitely recommend medical graduates to look at the various career opportunities that IKS and organizations like IKS provide because they enable Provider enterprises take better, safer and more efficient care of their patients thereby improving the quality of their lives.?

Do you believe that medical students have a wide variety of job options to choose from?

Yes, things have evolved and there are several avenues to utilize the skills of medical students. The scope of opportunities can enable medical professionals to make an impact on healthcare globally as they acquire skills and knowledge beyond clinical practice.?

Do you feel that your medical education background is being utilized well in your current job role??

Yes? I believe so! My education and skills are being effectively utilized and in fact I have been able to gain diverse experience as well. Working with teams, I have acquired management skills that have helped me to evolve as a healthcare leader.?

My medical knowledge and skills have helped me with various aspects of my job. For example: I was able to successfully set-up and grow healthcare accounts. Additionally, I got the opportunity to work on the development of training materials. I? have also worked on projects related to quality improvement, efficiency gains, reduction of learning curve and staffing analysis. I have worked on setting up analytics functions and machine learning projects to improve IKS platforms and solutions.

Any advice you may have for medical graduates on their possible career options.

Times have evolved and medical graduates have several options to choose from and make a global impact. There are career options in US healthcare? like administrative management of healthcare, value based care, virtual scribing, medical documentation, medical data analytics, medical coding, product management, medical transcription and many more. They have to just look out and choose a career best suited as per their requirements.?
