Success Secret: Borrowed and Reused Knowledge

The other day I was notified I had won a contest hosted by VP Instruments. They asked for best quote about compressed air, I replied:
"The Fifth Law of Thermodynamics (restated); Things Get Worse Under Pressure."
This borrowed quote, not an original from me, was impressive enough to be printed on a tile and distributed to wise users of excellent measuring instruments. You can see by the photograph I was delighted, thank you!
Over the 26 years I've spent in the "compressed air optimization field" I have been fortunate enough to borrow, reuse and even sneak a peek at valuable information about compressed air. I learned things like how to measure, troubleshoot, fix, redesign and recommission compressed air systems so they work better, and cost less, while producing a better quality and more stable flow of compressed air.
I've been fortunate enough to "stand on the shoulders of giants", to use knowledge passed on to me by some compressed air greats, like Scot Foss, Bill Scales, Frank Moskowitz, David McCulloch, Hank Van Ormer, Tom Taranto, Joe Ghislain and so many more.
Learning from the best has made me look good, and has greatly increased my income. Using it, and turning the experience into training expertise, has allowed me to travel around the world, all the while having loads of fun talking about and doing what I love.

My journey started with a single step, attending my first compressed air training workshop. This eye opening experience "turned me on" to my chosen career, I was blown away at all the potential opportunity for improvement in optimizing compressed air systems. And the rest is history, through the years I have been able to assist my customers in saving millions of dollars in compressed air and other related costs, and got them connected with millions more in energy incentives. My last count showed participation in over 700 completed improvement projects and counting.
I invite you to follow my lead and take your own first step in drinking from the cup of borrowed knowledge, if you are interested, please register for one of the upcoming Compressed Air Challenge seminars. Check them out here. The next one done by me is September 14th and is here. I promise to share more of my knowledge, plus some valuable , rules of thumb, case studies, and funny stories.
And, I thank you for reading this far, should you wish, please see this free download of my best compressed air articles, titled "Auditing on a Budget".
Good luck in your compressed air work, and "may the pressure be your friend".
