Success on a plate anyone?

Success on a plate anyone?

I am so sorry to be the one to bring you such bad news, but I just can’t sit around and let you believe the BS that self-employment is easy.

I also can’t watch you spend your money on ‘coaches’ who claim to be able to make you 10K in your first 3 months of business. Especially if you are offering a service and especially in this current climate.

I am not a naysayer or pessimist, I would like to say I am a realist and an honest one at that.

‘I have posted in that group for 4 months and got nothing……’

4 months …. Really…. Have you been consistent and followed it up? Have you ‘spoken’ to your ideal clients or tried to form relationships with them before flashing your wares and selling to them?

I am not a business expert, I do not claim to be a ‘business coach’ but I do know about consistency and building relationships that work.

Success doesn’t come on a plate. So If you are waiting for a quick fix with self-employment, I suggest you consider what you want from your business.

In my experience and this is only mine, you must be in it for the long haul. When I saw that 82% of coaching businesses don’t succeed past the 2-year mark, I knew I had to dig deep. So, I invested in my personal development and how to market myself and my business. Thanks to The Coaching Revolution I surpassed the 2-year mark, survived a pandemic with wonderful growth in my coaching, and am currently in my 5th year of self-employment.

What did I have to do?

  • Recognise it wasn’t going to be given to me on a plate.
  • Stop believing in the BS posts about making THOUSANDS doing naff all but dancing on a video on platforms.
  • I had to concentrate on what I wanted to do, who I wanted to reach, and make sure I offered them something TANGIBLE!
  • I asked for help from my mentors!
  • I sought supervision for all areas of my business and continue to perfect my art!
  • Joined ethical organisations to add credibility to my work to stand out within an unregulated field.

I also made LOADS of mistakes. Joined networking groups with extortionate fees and toxic practices which were soul-destroying. I tried to reinvent the wheel and watered down my message confusing my socials. I lost confidence.?

I know exactly how it feels to want to believe in the hype. To want to invest in the get rich quick schemes but I promise you… You can do anything you put your mind to. You don’t have to battle with self-employment alone. I make no promises in my practice because YOU do the work.

I am just ready to help you see a way through that works for YOU.

No BS. No success on a plate.

Just success and what that means to YOU!

DO get in touch if you want to find out more about working with me. my diary link is below or drop me a DM.

Couldn't agree more. It's also sad that people who are at the beginning of their business journey often believe that success comes quickly because it's sold and marketed to them this way and often prolifically. Self-employment is really not for everyone and I believe only people who do it for the right reasons are able to play the long-term game.
