Successful people are very intentional and purposeful because they have a limited amount of time per day, per week, and per year. They take care of themselves so that their energy is high and constant throughout the day.
I want to be successful and to do that I need to hone my body into a peak performance machine.
One.

My strategy? Wake up at 4:50 a.m.
Why wake up early? There is a truth to the cliche that the early bird catches the worm. Even more, according to Ben Hardy, morning routines put him in a flow state that creates a creative environment for writing, his main focus.
I've created a habit of arriving at my work before 7 a.m. Depending on the week's day, I either reflect, exercise, or prepare for the days ahead. My goal is to live a purposeful life, and writing by hand in a lined journal helps me tremendously. I exercise and aim for 420 minutes per week. That's why I come to work in workout clothes 3 times a week. It's also good to start work very early because the appointment with one student starts at 7:30 a.m. We go out for a walk near the lake and this has helped my student to be more honest about his problems. Who can resist the lure of a sunrise?
Do I like waking up early? Yes, I do. I am a competitive person by nature and knowing that I have a headstart motivates me to do more. It's counter-intuitive, but it works, so don't knock my strategy.
And the best reason for getting up early? I get to write all these articles and publish them in my LinkedIn StrengthMakerZ newsletter. It is the greatest feeling to see a product of my morning routine published on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
