Success needs redefining. Here are five ways to start
Thank you to Arianna Huffington - Founder and CEO of Thrive Global and author of Thrive and The Sleep Revolution
1 Learn to meditate - Meditation provides the brain with mental training. When our brain is charged so is the way in which we experience the world. If our brain isn't charged, your responses may be negative, your levels of stress may increase, and your ability to tap into your inner wisdom may also decrease.
2. Try to get enough sleep - try to get at least seven hours of sleep a night. Our productivity is significantly affected if we don't get enough sleep. Put your phone away, laptop down and switch off at least half an hour before nigh nigh time.
3. Walk the Talk - And this doesn't mean what people usually think it means. It means, take time out to actually go for a walk AND take your colleagues or potential clients with you. Sitting doesn't provide enough room for our brains to think - by getting up and moving, we stimulate our brains and come up with fabulous ideas
4. Trust your instincts - We have all experienced a hunch, an inkling, spider senses, our inner voice telling us to do something (or not). Listen to and nurture your intuition and live your life using this to guide you.
5. Learn to be a Leader - We are in the midst of multiple crises - we can't wait for a leader to suddenly emerge and rescue us! We need to find the leader in the mirror and take the steps required to make a difference.
