SUCCESS: Looking through a different LENS

"Where do you see yourselves 5 years from now" is undoubtedly a favourite interview question. And the answer that we try to give mostly hints at what seems to be a more promising position to us and there is something common in each of those answers: That position is different from the position that we are being interviewed for. But do we ever wonder that "Success" has different meanings for different individuals.
When it comes to talking about success, we usually associate it with two dimensions: Money & Power. But is that it? Should success mean just that? Mostly people believe that if they are not in a position to dictate or make their opinion count then they are not successful. Well I beg to differ. Success could also be very well correlated with how satisfied you are and how much you love to do what you are doing. And it doesn't need to ALWAYS mean that you are sitting at a very influential position. It could also mean someone doing a very basic role, carrying home a very average salary but being happy. Now this individual may not look to be successful to most of us but he carries the same state of mind and infact greater peace if you ask me.
The intent of this article is not to say " Hey be happy with what you have and stop dreaming, you have done good for yourselves". It rather is " Look for your own definition of success, do not follow someone else's definition of success, be ambitious but know what would it take to finally achieve that state of mind wherein you think you have done good for yourselves."
