Success is just a step away from you...

Success is just a step away from you...

The day I started my company, I finally chose to follow my instincts and do what I love to do. People say time flies, but no one has mentioned that this is a myth when you are struggling.?

Logically, every person starts a business when they want to rely on innovation other than paychecks, 10-to-7, same job and tasks. They want to explore and get out of their comfort zone and bring something creative that creates value for others and more for themselves.??

I know,?

The initial years of a career require experience, which can only achieve by working with startups, and intelligent & progressive people. I worked with many well-known companies as a Business Development Executive. Thanks to all my colleagues and the founder of the company, who helped me bring out my best.?

At some point, when you meet exciting challenges, you enjoy your work and be proud of yourself for completing it successfully. But when you find yourself in a loop of boring routine.?

What happens, then??

Rather than being in a rut of juggling, I chose to build my career as an entrepreneur.?I know it seems easy but trust me, it is NOT.

Without a regular paycheck, "how can I afford to live and take care of my family?" "I can't make ends meet with what I make at work and what I need to provide for my loved ones. One of my greatest aspirations is to be my boss. What if I failed? And what if I needed help finding the perfect resources? - The head of the full-time worker (Me) with a side hustle is plagued with concerns, yet that individual still longs for the freedom that comes with being their boss.?

The truth is,?

Entrepreneurship sounds glamorous, but it can also be intimidating, primarily if you've never known anything except a 10-to-7 job. Many women hold back from entirely devoting themselves to their careers because they are too afraid of failing. Taking a chance and investing all you have in an endeavor you're passionate about when you know there's a chance it won't succeed is terrifying.?

Not only do many would-be entrepreneurs worry about potential pitfalls, but many also dread the weight of accountability that comes with starting their own business.?

Such concerns bothered me too, like An organization must form PVT LTD, taxes must be calculated, the company must be registered and advertised, a business plan must be drafted, sufficient monthly revenue must be secured, extra money must be sought and applied for, and the business must be operated. Additional assistance may be hired outside the company, a tight budget is adhered to, health insurance is obtained at a reasonable cost, and ordinary comforts are put on hold for the time being.?

Even more, it sounds scary when you think of being an entrepreneur in a 2nd runner-up country of startups like India, where,?

  • 9 out of 10 startups don’t make it,?
  • 20% of startups fall apart after a year.
  • 30% of startups close within two years.
  • 50% of startups shut their doors within five years.
  • 70% of startups dissolve within 10 years.
  • 95% of entrepreneurs that create startups have at least a bachelor’s degree.
  • Over 69% of startup companies started as home businesses.
  • Only 40% of startups can become profitable.
  • The highest number (42%) of startups fail because they need to read the current market demand.
  • ? of startups used personal savings during the development process.
  • Only 1/100 startups that raised seed rounds could reach a valuation of $1 billion.
  • 1 in 3 begin their small business with less than $5,000. - Small Business Trends
  • The most popular financing method for startup costs in 2018 was personal funds at 77%. - Lendio 2018 survey
  • On average, it takes six months to hire someone for a startup. - Forbes
  • Startup failure is most common when the company has 11–50 employees. - Failory
  • The average age of tech startup founders is 39. -? Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

Although with all the statistics in mind, I knew that there were many reasons for the fall.?

I still wanted to grow...?

One day, I sat near a window on my favorite couch and looked outside the window while enjoying my coffee; a sudden thought popped up in my head, why am I worrying too much? All my efforts were wasted in finding a pathway not to fail. But why have I yet to think about how to succeed even with all the side hustles??I have been a person to take chances and this is one of the chances I had to take.

I was surprised by the mind-bending and self-motivated thought. Without delay, I picked up my phone, contacted my friend Dilip (Who is now my business partner and is a technical aficionado), and shared my ideas with him. We created a mind map, and I started strengthening my connections and started with a small step.?

Today, It's the 1st anniversary of our company- Witty Technical Solutions. I found many ambushes during this one-year journey.?

In the early stage of my struggle, I faced some of the significant hurdles that I want to share with you, such as Lack of funds, Insufficiency of guidance, High competition in service market fit, confusion in business model strategy, Less knowledge of where to spend more and where not (Less knowledge of Investment guidelines) and many more. Every day was a new challenge for me. People don't want to take orders from women, and sometimes dealing with a man-minded client was challenging to negotiate; creative ideas paused to implement because no one wanted to invest in women, especially when she was in her 30s. The reason! Same; how will you maintain the balance between personal and professional life? Besides this, as a newbie in business, managing employees and clients sometimes becomes more challenging.?

I am the CEO of a company in the most competitive industry - "Information Technology (IT)", where the scary thing is to make people trust you and your team. Due to high competition, the most formidable challenge you face is earning the first 5 clients. Then the investment and rest concerns will bother you.?

Yet, keep in mind that you are going to run this race and will be the winner. Just pour your curiosity, enthusiasm, and consistency.?

The biggest help that I have gotten in my journey is that I have a business partner that takes half of my burden. We both are founders of the company and we know that this journey wouldn't have been easy with leaving our jobs and starting things from zero if we have not divided our tasks. But here we are, moving to the 2nd year, managing our individual families, and taking it to the next level.

Shout out to all entrepreneurs:

Try this who want to start their businesses. Please don't refrain from indulging yourself in negative thoughts—practice mindfulness during stressful or confusing situations.?

  • Get rid of distractions, and apply the Pomodoro technique.
  • Create a mind map and prioritize three essential tasks,?
  • Fuel your body,?
  • Practice mindfulness,?
  • Set SMART Goals,?
  • Train your brain,?
  • Empower positive thoughts to improve productivity.?

My success mantra is,?

After starting my business, I started focusing on upgrading my skills regularly, building my community, being aware of current news, and always supporting the people working under me.?

Always remember, It is your business. People will come and go; some will learn from you, some will gain knowledge from you, some will bring profit to you, and some will disappoint you. But was all that to stop you??

Decide wisely and be your motivator. Once you become an entrepreneur, walk on the path; blurry and dark roads will get clear day by day once you start achieving milestones of your journey.?

On the day of my company's 1st anniversary, I support and encourage all women who want to start their businesses.

Be a part of my success and happy moment, and share some love and message with all those women who are capable or striving to achieve their goals.?
