The success of failure

Is there even such a thing?

I think so.

People have always been talking and writing about how one should focus on how to 'get back on track' after an 'L', 'cause 'when the going gets tough, the tough gets going' - right? But, still, not everyone is 'tough' enough to actually overcome a failure. There's still plenty of human beings out there that haven't been taught how to be tough and emotionally stable, but surely want to succeed in life. Probably people, who neither really realised, nor tapped their full potential, due to lack of knowledge, learning methods, weakness(es) of character and so on..

So.. what about them?

Step 1)

Being sad about a defeat, a rejection, a loss etc, costs energy (that's what GaryVee would say), but grief or ..sorrow, are feelings that can teach you a lot.

So take a little time to appreciate its supremacy and to evaluate things.

Step 2)

The evaluation. Definitely the most important step of your recovery, as the right evaluation of an 'L' can lead to huge things, such as new ideas or discovering, even creating, new opportunities. But the prime achievement is gonna be the 'experience'

Step 3)

After experiencing an 'L', whatever that is, there is this final stage where you actually know why you failed. Unless we talk about events upon your power, most of our fiascos are based on our own mishandling. You know well what I'm talking about: those 'what if' moments, and wasting time watching those movies on your.. inner cinema. This is surely not gonna help you move forward. But regret, eventually, will.

Step 4)

Congratulations. Failure has succeded in teaching you a prescious lesson.

You started mourning about that dream-working place where you didn't get the position and realised it is important to move on; but still wanted to know where you went wrong and what could have gone better and, eventually, how you'll operate better next time.

Because -after all- making mistakes or being defeated, is a part of the game.

And it's up to you, if you're gonna quit playing, or if you'll change your strategy..
