SUCCESS DESTROYERS - WHAT TO AVOID!!!
You are going to run into people who are going to try and diminish your success. They do this sometime intentionally and other times non-intentionally. What you want to do is arm yourself with knowledge to combat all of the different success enemies that are going to come your way.
Here are 10 success destroyers that are the most common.
Fear of Rejection
- There are always people who are going to say NO to your products or opportunities. Don’t fear the word NO.
- Don’t take rejection personally. It’s part of the business.
Keep sharing. The YES’s will come!
Dream Stealers
- There are people who are jealous of your success.
- These people have no clue that you have worked hard to achieve your dreams
- Some of these people are our friends, family or close associates and they will try to tear down what you build. Some do this intentionally and others do it unintentionally
Never let anyone with all of the answers and no money tell you what to do
Status – Having a “Title”
- Having a title behind your name does not equal a check
- People think having a "Title" means they are successful
You only get out of it what you put into it
Having a “Negative” attitude
- A lot of people have a negative attitude but just don’t realize it
- You want to surround yourself with people who are more successful than you are
- You want to surround yourself with people who think different than you do
- You want to surround yourself with people who have more than you have
- Bottom line is that you will change your Negative attitude and environment by surrounding yourself with these types of people.
- Your attitude will show in your posture, speech, energy and basically everything you will do
- Listen to only Positive Personal Development
Negative Energy = Negative Attitude = Negative Business
Lack of Focus
- Don’t confuse “Activity” with “Productivity”
- Make your business a PRIORITY
Focus only on the activities that are “Productive” only
Excuse-ITUS
- Not enough education, Kids keep me busy, Not enough time, etc…
- Make these the reasons to succeed rather than excuses not to
You can either make excuses or make money. You can’t do both!!!
Enemy of Good Fortune
- Your business starts to become successful
- Your checks are getting larger by the week
- You lose sight of your focus by thinking everything is “Perfect”
- Don’t lose sight of your goals
- Set mini goals and celebrate reaching those goals as they happen but don’t lose focus
Don’t settle! Keep your focus for 60 days and see where you are. If needed, make changes but NEVER lose the focus!
Re-Inventing the Wheel
- People always think there is a better way to do stuff and waste a lot of time trying to figure it out
- Don’t ever stop doing what has made you successful
- Don’t do things that are NOT duplicateable – Stick with the basics and do them over & over again!
Never stop learning
Go Into Management Mode
- You stop doing the things that make you successful and start telling people what to do
- Asking them if they are doing their duplicateable items and trying to hold them accountable
- The life blood of any business is acquiring new customers and recruiting new partners
- By you doing what needs to be done as the leader, your team will automatically follow suite
- The speed and growth of any business is determined by a leader who leads by example
Stay in “Productivity” mode
Lack of Desires & Big Dreams – Your “Why”
- You want to always have really big dreams. What are your 1 year, 3 year & 5 year dreams?
- What kind of car do you want? How big of a house do you want? Where do you want to travel? What kind of school do you want your children to attend? What does your bank account look like? Etc…
Dream Big = Big Success / Dream Small = Small Success
Please remember to Dream Big and also remember that you are responsible for the life you have today and the life you want in the future!!!
