?Ten years ago, I embarked on my first career path as a fresh graduate with a pharmaceutical background, joining Bayer as a Product Specialist for Women's Health. Bayer, a company that believes in individuals and ignites the first spark of their untapped talents and potential, has one mission: "Health for all, Hunger for none." From day one, I felt a deep sense of accountability to help achieve this purpose, which translated into the exceptionally successful launch of a Women's Health product.?

Feeling at home away from home was a critical factor that assured me, day after day, that I wanted to grow and thrive with this company.?

Embracing Challenges and Growing Together?

Reflecting on my journey feels like a flashback, showcasing the hard work and determination I put into creating my own opportunities. Along the way, I expanded my expertise into different therapy areas, including Men Health and Specialty Medicine/Ophthalmology. I exposed myself to diverse talents, leaders, and peers from various backgrounds and cultures.?

One quote that stands out to me is: "The strength of the team is each individual member; the strength of each member is the team." I truly felt this as we lived it, growing stronger together.?

At Bayer, every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow. This was especially evident when I went through an assessment center. What initially seemed like a moment of failure turned into a new beginning, leading to a better version of myself.?

Leading a Blockbuster: My Journey in Marketing at Bayer?

In 2019, my dedication and consistency paid off when I was assigned to lead a blockbuster in the ophthalmology therapy area for Gulf countries. From strategy to execution, I worked hand in hand with leaders from a cross-functional team, contributing to business expansion and enhancing customer and brand experiences.?

Transitioning into Marketing product management was a significant challenge. However, my winning mindset, shared vision, and being part of a company that invests in personal development made this step exciting and rewarding.?

Throughout various phases of external and internal changes, I felt empowered and encouraged to stay focused. Today, I am expanding my knowledge and experience in marketing into a different scope and therapy area, dedicated to protecting the hearts and kidneys of our patients.?

Embracing Both Worlds: My Personal and Professional Life?

On the other side of my life, I am Razan—a sister to three older brothers who have always been my pillars of strength and inspiration. Their guidance and support have shaped much of who I am today. As a mother to a delightful 2-year-old boy named Liam, I find immense joy and fulfillment in watching him grow and discover the world around him. Liam’s laughter and curiosity bring a special kind of happiness that enriches my life every day. Balancing my roles as a sister, partner and a mother has taught me patience, resilience, and the profound importance of family.?

Flexible working arrangements and a strong belief in women's empowerment have played a crucial role in allowing me to excel both personally and professionally.?

Over time, fulfilling my commitments to myself, my family, and my business goals has required efficient communication and prioritization. Maintaining my well-being without compromising my values towards my company, friends, and family has been a delicate balance, but one that I have embraced wholeheartedly.?
