"The Success Code!" (Ch 2 of 7)
Hello Achiever!
As promised, here's the 1st Step in using, "The Success Code" for manifesting mesmerizing health, wealth and peace of mind!
To use your natural manifesting abilities, you must first clean your "emotional filter."
The furnace in your home has a filter in it. It's designed to "clean the air" before pushing it through your ventilation system.
Every couple of months, or 5-6 months if you're like me, you need to change the furnace filter because it gets clogged up.
If you don't change this filter, it significantly diminishes the amount of air flowing through the system, which will lower the furnaces ability to function optimally.
Humans also have filters. Yet, instead of a paper material, our filters consist of emotional energy.
Energy is continually flowing through us. What do you think keeps your heart beating, your blood flowing and your mind churning?
We don't have batteries or wind up cranks. Our bodies run on lifeforce energy, just like the sun and everything else in our solar system.
Most of the time, emotional energy flows through us just fine. But sometimes it gets "stuck."
For instance, if you watch an action movie on the big screen, you may experience dozens of emotional highs and lows. Yet, after the film, your emotions balance, and you go on with your life.
Some experiences, however, generate strong emotional feelings that get's "stuck" within us. This "stuck" energy is commonly labeled as fear, anger, resentment, shame, hurt and guilt.
Interestingly enough, these emotions don't get trapped within us because of the experiences that produced the feelings.
Instead, it's the Unconscious beliefs that form as a result of those experiences that block the energy from releasing.
For example, let's say you get punched in the arm really hard when you're seven years old. It hurts, but eventually, the pain goes away.
Yet, if you got punched in the arm and a belief formed at an unconscious level that, "I'm not safe," "You can't trust others," or "People will hurt me," then thirty years later, your arm won't hurt from being punched anymore, yet you will still feel pain because of the negative beliefs that were generated.
These self-limiting beliefs clog up our emotional filters and hold us back from performing at our fullest potential.
Therefore, Step 1 in "The Success Code" is to identify the unconscious beliefs (fears) that are blocking your energy and release them!
How to find your fears and hidden beliefs...
Grab a pen or pencil and a blank piece of paper. Draw a line down the center of the paper, separating the page in half.
On the left side of the paper, write down all the fears you believe may be holding you back. Allow yourself to write. This is not the time to analyze or hold back. Just start writing down every fear you might have about money, your health, your marriage, your self-confidence, or any other worries you have.
You might start with questions like, "What am I really afraid of?" Or, "What would I have to believe in order to feel scared, inadequate, or angry about ________."
Warning! This is not going to feel good. In fact, it might make you feel like crap at first. Yet, it's essential to get in touch with these fears and allow yourself to explore the emotions that come up entirely.
I spent the majority of my life trying to avoid uncomfortable feelings...
Yet, when people try to sweep those feelings "under the rug" using distraction (eating, drinking, smoking, gambling, porn, shopping, affairs, workaholic, etc.) or dissociation (disconnecting, withdrawing, isolating, drugs, etc.) it only clogs your filter more.
You have to let them come up, and then...let them come out! If you suddenly feel the urge to cry, do it. Do NOT hold back. Give yourself permission to release that emotion so you can unclog the filter.
Most of my clients cry at least once during our private sessions. Yet, these are healing tears. I tell them their tears are the ice that's now melting around their heart.
You might be thinking, "Tim, I feel these feeling all the time, and I've cried an entire river! But I don't feel any better."
Well, that's because you've only done the first part of this exercise. There are two more parts that most people miss...
Here's the 2nd part of the process.
Taking one fear at a time, ask yourself, "Where did I get this idea from?"
Remember, beliefs are just ideas, not facts! I might believe ice cream is the best food ever invented, and even if I think this is a fact, it's still just an opinion. Opinions change all the time. So can yours!
Keep asking yourself this question. "Where did I get this idea from?"
I used to have the belief that I had no musical talent whatsoever! Then I went through this exercise and asked myself, "Where did I get this idea that I have no musical talent?"
I thought about it and a memory of me sitting down by a piano and not being able to play popped into mind. "I tried to play the piano once and I sucked at it."
Then I thought, "Have you taken any piano lessons?" "Um...no."
"Do you practice playing every day?" "No."
"Can others who've had zero training or practice sit down at a piano and start playing Mozart?" "Not likely."
"Well, perhaps it's not that you don't have any musical talent, but that you haven't chosen to manifest the ability to play the piano yet."
Then I asked myself, "If you could believe anything, and you can, what would you rather believe instead?"
"I'd rather believe that I DO have musical talent and I just need to commit to learning and practicing the piano if that makes me happy."
Suddenly I felt a sense of freedom inside! It was like a new discovery that I just hadn't recognized before. With this new perspective, it seemed silly that I would think I had no musical talent just because I banged on some piano keys once and couldn't make music out of it.
I didn't move forward with piano lessons because of the time commitment. However, coincidently, the following week my father-in-law handed me a new harmonica and instruction book.
He bought one for himself and thought I might like to learn to play a song or two as well, which I did!
As soon as I cleared my energy filter by shifting the hidden belief (fear), the universe provided a musical instrument that was easy to learn...and now...I have musical talent!
When you start asking yourself where you came up with certain beliefs, the memories that emerge can be painful.
That's because most of the self-limiting beliefs we struggle with were developed when we were young kids and we didn't have the awareness, tools, language skills, or the support to handle these situations in an empowering way.
Yet, as a grown adult you now DO have the power and ability to take back your control, reclaim your light and free yourself from the false beliefs that ensued.

If a painful memory does surface, surround it in bright light and imagine fast-forwarding through it to the end, with lightning speed! Or imagine immediately shrinking the memory down so small, you can barely make out what's happening.
Reliving a painful memory serves no purpose. All you're looking for is the reason why you have this fearful idea (belief).
You're also looking back at your past from an adult perspective, rather than reliving it as the child you once were (if it's a childhood memory).
As a kid, you might have a belief that your parents divorced because of something you did, which then makes you a bad person and perhaps unworthy of being in a happy relationship yourself.
Yet, when you look back on that situation as an adult, you realize the two adults (parents) were responsible for their actions, and NOT the child who was caught in the middle!
That's when the new belief can form. "That was my parent's stuff. It had nothing to do with me. Therefore, I now chose to feel worthy of a happy relationship!"
In Review...
1. Write down your fearful belief.
2. Ask yourself where this idea came from?
3. What would you rather believe instead?
This step in The Success Code is powerful. Yet, sometimes the emotions are so ingrained within us, even though we recognize the fearful belief or understand that it may be irrational, we still struggle with letting it go.
In the next article, I'll explain why that is and how you can use Step 3 in The Success Code (Ch 3 of 7) to finally free yourself from those nagging fears once and for all!
