Success is being present and emotionally available in the life you created

I am a business strategist.

BUT

FIRST, I am plain ole' Mickey .

The rumors are true: It is with reckless abandon that I burn the midnight oil and I often travel 18 weeks in a year (by fancy and with paid contracts).

I am usually smiling because I am a happy person, and the way you THINK you see me, (vibrating with energy) is an accurate statement. I have a life that is abundant and fun.

BUT

It is also real with the stuff that no one enjoys, I still get what life is dishing out the on cold plate section of the menu- loss, failure, setback, or painful self discovery.

BUT

I like that too, but usually only after I am through it.

Because I have been in so many situations that are crazy and feel like a story from a comic book, I understand that success is not a nameplate or a template to fill-in with achievement dope. It is a instead a feeling of being open, accountable, and available to the life you created.

BUT

You have to actively create, and that takes effort.

Apathy need not apply.

I have the HONOR to hang with a REALLY LOT of people that have life stories that inspire me and make me want to engineer more with my life. Getting to know someone's life story is a piece of grace I do not take for granted. Because plain speaking intimacy is relationship GOLD. It is the thing that I will take on as my true wealth in this lifetime. Those smiles, those tears, and that path we walked together.

So think about the resume you REALLY want in the world.

My smile is proof that you can make a great a pay check, travel, have a family, make mistakes, learn new stuff, be scared sometimes, create cool stuff, and still have time to forge lasting fruitful relationships.

BUT

You have to show up as just YOU.

Leave the nameplate at home.
