Inspiring talk from Komal Ganatra.

Komal Ganatra passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2012. But her journey was quite a daring. She loved her husband and her NRI husband abandoned her within 15 days of their marriage. Ignoring the sneer and taunts of society, Komal decided to empower herself and became an IAS officer. Her story is an inspiration to every one who wants to change his or her messy life.

Childhood

No difference between Son & Daughter in the family. Encouraging father

Learning Attitude

Open University taught me if you study any subject yourself, you can do anything. I was curious to learn anything from anywhere.

Specific Goal

From the unfathomable down of my life, I sensed that you are made for a specific goal. You must identify that goal and your inner strength.

Identity

  1. Marriage doesn’t complete a woman. Her husband is not her identity. She will make her own identity.
  2. If a woman marches forward to get back her self-respect, she is unstoppable.

Take Away

  1. Concentration
  2. Misses struggling time. If problems come into your life, they come to push you forward in life.
  3. ?To achieve success, you have to step out of your comfort zone
  4. Positive thinking. Thoughts become things. Whatever I conceived in my life, I achieved that, in that form.
  5. Society opposes you when go out of your comfort zone.
  6. Don’t follow anybody. Choose your own way.

Mantra for Success in Life

  1. Determination – Never give up
  2. Hard Work – There is no alternative to hard work
  3. Patience – You must be patient while working hard.
