Hello! Happy New Year to all!
Instead of summarizing the outgoing year, I will write about the things that I think will happen in the new year from the point of view of technology and the world around them.
- Active use of generational AI (Midjounery, ChatGPT) in the everyday work of many people. We are already starting to experiment with using ChatGPT for SEO purposes. I eagerly await the many articles on this topic that will come out throughout the year.
- Commercialization of generational AI. Since ChatGPT has an API and scaling is a solvable problem, I expect to see a wide range of startups that will come up with interesting uses for this technology. For example, automating various bureaucratic procedures.
- I am very excited to see how the
MACH Alliance
will continue to develop. In 2022, I became their ambassador, so I will now appear more often with blogs and talks in the English-speaking community and tell people what they can and should build their business on not monstrous platforms, but with the help of adequate software development. I believe that this alliance will be able to bring the future of software development closer to the small and medium-sized businesses that make up the majority of the market, and not just to the large corporations that can afford to maintain their own IT departments.
- The maturing of the low-code tools market. I have started using a couple of tools in my work and, it seems to me, their main application is the creation of internal tools in companies. In the case of enterprise companies, we can expect massive layoffs in the next 5-7 years as soon as Big4 reaches the top companies for selling these things.
- An increasingly active arms race in the world of security. There were more than enough incidents
last year, but it seems to me that this is just the tip of the iceberg, and we will see an increase in spending on such tools.
- I am eagerly awaiting VR from Apple
. If anyone can finally launch this wave, it's them. I expect the same effect as the release of iPhones.
What are you looking forward to?
