SUBLIMINALLY HOSTILE - part 4

PART 4- ?"... at my earliest convenience"?Whether it is the seemingly polite tag when someone gets your voicemail or the supposed promise of promptness in response to a request for action, it's BAD!?When it began it was as a request that the receiver would respond at their earliest convenience, a way of saying "no urgency; I'm not trying to jump to the head of the line."?Somehow over time the 'your' changed to 'my' and the message was changed from recognition that the receiver was busy to one in which the receiver rudely announces that the?message is not a priority.?"I'll get back to you at MY earliest convenience, because YOU are not that important to me."?As a template or script for call centers, voice mails, and more, a subliminal shift from constituent service orientation to me-first has been increasing for so long that customer loyalty has eroded and new concerns about client retention?and improved customer experience are arising.
