An Apology to The Builders Conference

An Apology to The Builders Conference

Today we were asked to remove the “Builder’s Conference” logo from this image, which we will of course do as soon as the graphics people are able to do so. We will do this because we are nice, open and fair people and we didn’t ask them if we could use their logo. We accept that that was very naughty of us and apologise unreservedly! The Chief Executive of Builder’s Conference was extremely patient and seemed a really good man who cares about construction. He did though think that we would probably receive similar requests from Glenigan and Builders Profile. If and when we do, we will of course comply. We will also do the same if and when LinkedIn, Dropbox and all of the others get in touch, because we are good people.

We need to state that, in no way shape or form, were we saying that we were better than all of these companies. We were merely pointing out that people and businesses in construction have choices that are potentially more affordable. We did moot the possibility of working with (rather than against) Builder’s Conference but it was not clear how well this was received.

It’s our belief that, for the construction industry to modernise, there needs to be a more collaborative approach. There needs to be freer access to information, opportunities, cost and quality data and that this information should be both available and affordable rather than yet another “tax” on operators in an industry that continues to operate on the thinnest of margins.

Anyway, we apologise is we have threatened the status quo of the “big boys”. Actually WE DON’T! We want our industry to be fairer and more efficient. Join us if you like the idea. Carry on as normal if you don’t. Whichever camp you fall into, we will see you soon, because Copronet is the future – a network and suite of tools to get things done faster and better.

Hello David We acknowledge your reply & written apology on 27th February 2019 to my conversation with a colleague of yours requesting to remove Builders' Conference logo from your website. As stated above you agreed to remove our logo as it was incorrect for Copronet to use, however revisiting your website as of today's date 18th April 2019 we find this has not been carried out, 7 weeks after our request which we feel is a reasonable period for your 'graphics people' to make the changes Please can you advise via this method of communication the date our logo will be removed. Many thanks
