Subedar Shri Shambhu Parshad and his beautiful wife Anata Devi were the guests at the Watan Ke Rakhwale on February 25.
A radio program called Watan Ke Rakhwale highlights the courage and sacrifice of the Indian armed services. An extraordinary episode of the Army Program on Air FM, featuring guests Subedar?Shri Shambhu Parshad?and his wife?Anata Devi, broadcast on?February 25. The pair, both Indian Army veterans, presented their moving tale of selflessness and devotion to the country.
From the state of Haryana, Subedar?Shri. Shambhu Parshad?enlisted in the Indian Army in 1982. Throughout his 30-year career, he served in various positions, including as a paratrooper, a marksman, and a combat instructor. He served in some of the nation's most challenging and hazardous areas, including the Northeast and?Jammu & Kashmir.
Subedar Parshad?sustained injuries in a terrorist strike in Jammu and Kashmir in 2002 while serving there. He was shot numerous times. Yet, despite his wounds, he didn't let them break his spirit or his dedication to the country. In 2012, he withdrew from the Army following a protracted rehabilitation period.
His wife,?Anata Devi, previously served in the Indian Army. Before retiring in 2008, she worked as a nurse in the Army Medical Corps for 17 years. She served in the military and was stationed at numerous hospitals where she treated troops who had been hurt in the line of duty.
Subedar Prashad?and?Anata Devi?discussed their military experiences, difficulties they encountered, and lessons they learned during their appearances on the program. They encouraged young people to think about a career in the armed forces and discussed the value of patriotism and national service.
The program served as a powerful testament to the bravery, commitment, and sacrifice of the men and women who serve in the Indian Armed Forces. Furthermore, it served as a timely reminder of our obligation to show these courageous soldiers and their families all the support we can muster.
