3 年How we respond is important, and you are right - appreciating the fact that what is important to one person might not be as important to someone else (you shared a story in your book about the reports that you requested in your first weeks at Red Hat and didn’t receive them). Being a part of the open culture and embracing all the aspects of it might seem strange to those who join the company, especially from a completely opposite environment, to them it’s almost like “drinking too much red cool-aid “

3 年Hello,the lesson that I find out of this story ; our culture is impact of several component of all of the subconscious ways. They are not necessarily written down neither on the poster nor on the bilboard, that pople internalize what's important to you and your organization. thanks to you and see you in a couple weeks.

3 年Absolutely true. In my opinion values and etiquettes are just ingrained in your subconscious, changing them might feel like you're going against the grain. I feel hiring people with matching mindsets are essential for any organization to be true to its values and culture.
