Continuing on our TextExpander series, here’s our first helpful tip!
I have many attorneys who have bought TextExpander and ended up never using it.
And I know WHY.
9 out of 10 the reason they don’t use is this:
"I can’t remember the snipped I created.”
I don’t blame you, the more you create, the harder it is to keep up with.
And you use TextExpander for teams as we do, it is not uncommon to have hundreds of snippets.
So how on earth can you remember the snippet to call for the text expansion?!
Good news: you don’t have to.
This tip alone will set you free and it is the FIRST tip I teach.
If you don’t recall the snippet, you won’t use it. This simple feature overcomes the biggest hurdle to usage.
TextExpanders’ little-known search feature lets you instantly search your entire snippet library, use arrow keys to browse results, then press Return to place the selected snippet into your current app.
To call upon TextExpander Search on your Mac or PC, the default shortcuts are:
- macOS: Command + /
- Windows: Control + /
- Chrome: Control + .
Stay tuned for the rest of our series for more tips using TextExpander.
