Yesterday I read something that made me so so HAPPY!!
In a study over 20 years, which researchers followed a number of people from the time they began university.
When people was to start university the researchers measured their general happiness (people's spontaneous reaction to things that happen to them). 20 years later they reported their annual income and what it showed was that those who earned the best were those who were most happy when university began. Those who were the happiest at university earned 50% more than those who were the least happy.
The study confirmed that happy people do better in school because they have a positive attitude that makes them more diligent, teachers like them better and give them higher grades that allows them to get better jobs. Happy people might just be better in interviews and it may just be that they are better paid because they work more efficiently.
This has been researched on more things than just these students. Several studies show that people with a positive attitude often get a better salary. What people with positive attitude has in common is that they are more or less always happy at work.
I loved to read this, because I am a living example of how easy life is with a positive attitude.
When I moved to Stockholm 2008 I started to look for a job. In the end I had 15 interviews. I went on interviews with the attitude that the job was already mine. When they asked me various questions, I answered them like I already worked there. I did the same in all interviews, most of the jobs I was not qualified for.
Of the 15 interviews I was offered 11 jobs. 2 of the companies who said no to me, it was between me and another candidate who won because of my lack of experience!
With a positive mindset you will reach further!
