Study Group partner Huddersfield jumps in world University rankings

Congratulations to our partners at the The University of Huddersfield on their success in being named the Most Improved University in the UK in the influential 2025 QS World University Rankings.

With a dramatic 66-place rise in the rankings, Huddersfield University is now in 501st place in the world’s top 1,500 universities and is now ranked 49th?among UK universities. Universities receiving the coveted Most Improved University award are those which have shown the most improvement in their ranking over a five-year period.

“We’re particularly pleased to see that Huddersfield ranked highly in the indicators for International Students, International Faculty and International Research Networks,” says Linda McKeon, Centre Director, Huddersfield International Study Centre. “We are delighted to partner with a university of increasing international renown and one which has become a destination for researchers from around the world.”

The QS World University Rankings provides an annual audit of leading universities in 106 higher education systems worldwide, the rankings offer a unique assessment into how higher education is faring internationally.
