The Studio Scoop #3 - Last leg of the year

A thank you from us at FWstudios for a fantastic 2023

As 2023 draws to a close, we’re delighted to look back and see the variety of clients who’ve come to FWstudios. Some have hired it for talking heads, others for filming beatboxers, product promos, spoken word poets, AR campaigns, or for live-streaming for an event. Whatever the reason, we’ve enjoyed having each of them and look forward to hosting them - and many more - come 2024.

And of course, we’re sure that Team FW will find new ways to film FWun content for our own campaigns!

Some of our latest productions:

Children’s charity coalition with Barnardo’s

In September, Barnardo’s hired out the studio for several days of filming, for a crucial campaign. The leaders of the five largest children’s charities delivered an all important message: to put the needs of babies and children at the heart of government change and investment.

You can check out the final film here.

The English Tea Shop product promo

Our savvy studio producer, Aditi Srivastava , along with Nick Corrigan (one of our newest additions to Team FW), captured some awesome product promo footage. This time it was for The English Tea Shop and it got all wintery and festive. Look out for the final promo dropping soon! In the meantime, here’s some BTS.

Big Picture Media bring Beatboxers

Earlier this year, we hosted spoken word poets. More recently, we had Big Picture Media here to film some beatboxing action. Six performers were filmed against green screen and the white cyclorama. The footage was uploaded straight to Frame.io for the easy pick up by the client.

Other news

FW’s promotional documentary gets released

Since 2021, FW have been developing a documentary for Factory East, a charity designed to help the youth of East London. The film is now live on FactoryEastfilm.com (you have probably seen the promo for it all over our socials!). Please check it out and look into Factory East’s worthy cause.

Newest team members!?

Team FW welcome Nick Corrigan and Charlie Kelloway . Both lads come armed with camera operating, vision mixing and streaming engineering skills. They’re a welcome addition to our events delivery team.?

That does mean they’ll be mostly working alongside our Rob, but we suppose, there are worse things…?!

Gin & Gunpowder for FWistmas!?

Team FW celebrated the festive season with a lunch at Gunpowder in Spitalfields. It was a little tight and cosy in there (no room to swing a cat!) - but a very merry time was had by all.??

But that’s not all! Rob linked up with a local distillery, Jim & Tonic, to get some special FW Gin made. So if you like a bit of London Dry gin, then let us know and maybe we’ll lob a bottle your way!

Activating AI into our lives

In a bid to keep up with our technological world, we’ve been looking into how to get AI to work for us, to integrate into our workflows. Yu, fresh back from paternity leave, has taken up the charge. Now, instead of a crying baby, it's a whirring computer keeping him up! Here's to looking forward to our AI baby's first words in 2024: 'Error 404: Sleep not found.'

Yu, testing the very useful AI tool to look like...ahem...Becks..?
