Located in the heart of Times Square, The Lyric Theatre is one of the largest and most recognizable theaters in Broadway’s thriving theater district. The Lyric Theatre is currently the Broadway home of multi-award winning?Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Studio Jouan has been appointed by New 42nd Street, who manages the theater for the City of New York, to provide acoustic consultancy services by analyzing the room acoustic conditions of the Lyric’s historical auditorium.
Working alongside Production and Theater Consultant David M Jensen, Studio Jouan looked at the acoustic and operational implications for several potential alteration scenarios, including comprehensive impact explorations into audience configuration and seating capacity modifications.
