Unlike a studio apartment, a one-bedroom apartment will have its own bedroom with a door. This is the fundamental distinction, although one-bedroom flats are significantly larger than studio apartments (about 400-800 square feet). Having a separate bedroom has advantages, particularly if you share an apartment with someone.
Unlike studio apartments, which have everything in one communal space, one-bedroom apartments typically feature a separate kitchen. You'll also likely have additional closet space. Some one-bedroom flats have the bathroom linked to the bedroom, which increases privacy.
You'll most likely spend more rent on a one-bedroom than on a studio, and you'll need more furniture to occupy the extra space. However, if you require a separate sleeping place, a one-bedroom unit may be worth considering.
First, you'll want to declutter. Get rid of anything you don't need or desire, including huge furniture that won't fit in your new flat. Look for smaller pieces, such as a loveseat instead of a complete couch, a small bistro set instead of a dining table, or a futon instead of a queen-size bed.

Think vertically. Some studios have high ceilings, so the majority of your area may be above your head. Shelves and tall bookshelves will help you make better use of the space, particularly for items you don't use frequently. Invest in some corner cabinets to convert corners into functional spaces.
Make your furnishings do a double job. If you have a standard bed (rather than a futon or pull-out couch), make use of the space underneath by purchasing some under-the-bed storage boxes. Look for concealed areas in your flat, such as beneath the couch or on the back of the bathroom door.
Instead of a coffee table, consider a tiny storage ottoman or footstool. These will take up less room while still providing a place to rest your drink or put your feet up. If it has storage space, you can keep seasonal throw blankets, books, or other items inside to keep your flat clean and orderly.
