According to recent studies, 55% of salespeople feel they are selling the wrong products. That lack of belief in what they are selling diminishes their ability to be confident and successful.?
Prospects can sense a lack of confidence and belief.?
Even when someone has learned the sales script perfectly, the difference in energy between someone who is confident and enthusiastic and someone who is not is obvious.?
This is why without a connection with your products or services—a personal passion for what you sell—you cannot be in alignment with your prospects.?And without that alignment, you will have a much harder time making sales.
?You must have your own personal story of how good your products or services make you feel—and what problems they have helped you and others solve to have authentic credibility from which to create alignment with your prospects.
To create a strong belief in what you sell, follow these 3 steps:
1. List all the problems and challenges you have experienced over the course of your life.
2. Make another list of those challenges you have conquered. This second list is now your area of expertise and credibility.?
3. Make a 3rd?list of all the advice and tips you would give to someone who is now going through the same problems or challenges you overcame.?
For example, if in the past you had access to the product or service you sell now, how would it have helped you to overcome the same problems and challenges?
Congratulations!
Now you know that you have a strong belief in why and what you are selling!?
