Women in Cloud is a community-led economic development organization to generate $1B in economic access for women.
Women in Cloud (WIC) and RV College of Engineering (RVCE) have joined forces to establish the Cloud Center of Excellence, empowering students to lead in the AI powered economy. This groundbreaking partnership has ignited a series of impactful initiatives, including the formation of an Insider Circle group led by 18 girls, the successful execution of a student-led pitch competition, and an implemented #WICxSkillready Challenge to get students DEVSECOPS ready leaders.?
Pioneering DevSecOps Microcredentialing with #WICxSkillsReady Challenge
As part of this initiative, the #WICxSkillsReady Challenge is launched a unique AI & Cyber focused microcredentialing program through Microsoft Applied Skills to help students become devsecops ready.
This curriculum empowers participants with industry-ready competencies in security, AI development, and operations, meeting the growing demand for specialized roles in tech. Designed for rapid skill acquisition, the program offers Microsoft-backed microcredentials that showcase participants’ practical knowledge and job readiness. By integrating this curriculum, the Center of Excellence ensures students are equipped to excel in high-demand DevSecOps careers.

Celebrating Inaugural at the Thinksprint’24 - Unleashing Innovation with a Student-Led Ideation Challenge
The inaugural ThinkSprint'24 celebrated visionary thinking, creativity, and problem-solving, attracting ideas that pushed the boundaries of traditional innovation. With themes like Space Tech, Computational Biology, Gamification, and more, 100+ participants were encouraged to explore uncharted territories and craft impactful solutions.
After two engaging rounds, including idea submissions and presentations, the event culminated with a distinguished panel of judges recognizing top two teams, whose groundbreaking concepts showcased ingenuity, collaboration, and the potential for real-world impact.
