It is easy to get salary as a teacher. But it is hard to earn the respect of students.

I often hear complaints within the IB Korean A teachers community that today's students do not respect teachers anymore.

Today's students are "Fierce children." They become "Fierce" in front of some teachers and become "Children" in front of others. Then, what makes them do that?

Students know very well how valuable respect is. Therefore, they never waste their respect. They only invest respect in good teachers. They easily identify teachers who do their best. They become "Fierce" in front of teachers who only deliver the contents of the book. However, if teachers show affection to them and teach them meaningful contents, they become "Children."
