Stuck in your life? Restart!
We hate change. Every one of us. No matter how much importance we give to change, it is simply that thing we hate. We resist change. We ignore the change.
But change is one thing, restarting is another.
It’s painful to restart. It’s painful to let go of all your progress and restart. We simply hate the idea to start from scratch, after years of hard work. And that’s why we often fail to move forward. More so, we hate to tell the world that we are giving up. The startup (hustling) world hates people who gives up. Get that notion out of your head for a moment. Often, giving up is the best solution.
I learned this the hard way. And this restarting is not just applicable to work, it is applicable to everything in life. I have deleted everything, from databases to important files, to jobs, online accounts, to my entire file system. It’s scary at first. But the result is refreshing. It opens new doors. It helps you clear the clutter in life, and be more focused.
Restarting is important. When you find yourself stuck, often the best solution is to restart.
Gurus and geniuses will argue with the consistency and perseverance of jargons. But believe me when I say, restarting can often push you higher up.
Unable to find a file in your messed up laptop? Delete everything and restart. Not sure what you are doing with your life? Leave everything and restart. Stuck in your relationship after loads of tried efforts? Leave it and restart. Not sure if the city you are in is enough? Book your tickets, and restart.
When you are not sure, just take a break, and restart.
Yes, you will lose your progress. Yes, people will hate you. Yes, you will hate yourself for a while. But yes, you will find new grounds and hope. So, well, leave the decade behind. Leave the years behind. And, RESTART!
