Stuck in this deadly trap?

The biggest pleasure in life is to chase what you cannot afford.

The excitement of achieving the unachievable is what your brain wants.

Your brain wants only dopamine - not money or material.

Dopamine is the chemical of desire that always asks for more.

Your brain doesn’t want stuff. It doesn’t even want new stuff. It just wants to engage in the process and anticipation of getting new stuff.

From dopamine’s point of view, it’s not the having that matters; it’s getting something – anything – that’s new.

No amount of money or achievement is enough for your brain.

It’s always just what’s next? How can I get to the next level?

That’s what you do because that’s what your brain wants.?

But the dopamine is a common and powerful trap.

It forces you to change the goalpost everytime you achieve something - the dopamine takes over, and you immediately start to ask: What’s next?

If you do not balance your Dopamine push - you will be forced by your brain to achieve things by hook or by crook - and may result into you doing immoral illegal unsocial things - activities, or other means can lead to addiction and other negative consequences.?

Dopamine "trap" can lead to compulsive behavior and interfere with a person's ability to make healthy choices.

To avoid getting trapped by dopamine:

  1. Practice moderation: Avoid over-indulging in activities that trigger a release of dopamine, such as eating junk food, using drugs, or engaging in risky behavior.
  2. Find healthy ways to increase dopamine: Exercise, meditation, spending time in nature, and other activities that boost overall well-being can also increase dopamine levels in a healthy way.
  3. Seek variety: Doing the same thing repeatedly can lead to boredom and a decrease in dopamine release. Try new things and find activities that are engaging and enjoyable.
  4. Be mindful: Pay attention to how certain activities make you feel and recognize when they may be affecting you in negative ways.
  5. Get adequate sleep: Lack of sleep can negatively impact dopamine levels. Make sure to get enough sleep each night to keep dopamine levels in balance.

Remember, it's okay to enjoy things that trigger dopamine release in moderation, but it's important to be aware of when they may be affecting you negatively and to take steps to balance your dopamine levels.
