A Chooks SA update for those not in that FB group. So ... last May I launched a network that is now a movement to address gender inequity in investment in start ups and social enterprises. It has grown from 105 people on the day of the launch in May 2017 to almost 1400 today. Why this group is needed in 2018 is disappointing to me ... but grizzling isn't my thing ... I would rather fix it up!
Each generation needs to make its own contribution and learn and understand the contributions of previous generations, so last year during Open State Chooks hosted Strut your Stuff a walk and talk networking event that linked some of our famous sites to our story of leading change for women in SA. Our finale was gathering in Old Parliament House, the first place to vote for women to be able to stand for Parliament.
We are doing it again during the Fringe and our walking tour route is going to take us from the Railway Station to the Old RAH site. Along the way there will be some stops and a chance to learn about our past and lessons we can take into the future.
I would love to have some of my LinkedIn buddies there too. Here is the link https://adelaidefringe.com.au/fring…/strut-your-stuff-af2018 See you there!
