Struggling to keep organized? Google Keep is the answer.

How are those New Year’s resolutions going? They probably aren’t because if you are like most people your personal life isn’t at all organized.

But that’s where Google Keep comes in. This free software works with your existing Google account, and really does help keep you organized, plus for those visual learners, it’s a treat to look at.

What is Google Keep?

Google Keep is an (in my opinion) a personal level project management system that is free, super user-friendly and can be used on any device.

If you have a Google Account, and really who doesn’t, you need to access this system now.

So how does it work?

Log into or start up your Google Keep (keep.google.com) by making your first list (hit the icon for new note). It’s really that simple. What you do is you make a list for a particular task, and then assign a title, and if you’re like me and visual, you can add a photo. I love how my Google Keep page looks like my Pinterest feed. You can write down the various stages of a project and then make a checkable ‘to-do’ type list. As you complete each task, you can check each one off.

The best part of the Google Keep system is that you can set reminders and see them in your Google Calendar. Also, and even better, when you are in Google Calendar, you can show your Google Keep instead of the task list. This way you are reminded of your projects that you need to accomplish first. I always “pin” my most needed projects, so that I am sure to see them when I open up my calendar, which I do every morning.

Google keep is on the web or available on the app(s) and will work perfectly on Mac, PC, IOS, Chrome Book, iPadOS, and any other platform you can think of, well maybe not Blackberry for the 10 people who still use it.

A tool is only as good as you use it, but a tool this fun will be used by you.
