TL;dr : If you're struggling with AWS Solutions Architect Professional study ... it might not be your fault.
As more and more students start working on my https://learn.cantrill.io SA pro course. ... I'm finding many are struggling because they're missing knowledge which is required as a starting point for SA Pro. They've generally used various other associate courses - which haven't taught at a "real" associate level.
To help fix this I've just updated my SA Pro course to help fill those knowledge gaps in many other courses (read ???? below???? for more info)
The Problem...
At an associate level, you should be able to do all these things but I'm finding many students who start on my SA Pro course aren't anywhere near that skill level - and it isn't their fault, they have trusted an instructor to get them to a REAL associate level.. and without realising it.. they've used an exam focussed course (this is bad ?? ??)
My Solution...
I have an AWS Solutions Architect professional course which "I think" is the most comprehensive and in-depth SA Pro training available. Like my Associate Architect course, the material is super visual and relies on many in-depth, real-world-like demos. I even support students moving directly from the associate architect training for those who want to become a Solutions Architect.
I've added phase one of a significant course update today to address the above knowledge gaps. I want to help make the professional-level accessible to more students, even those who've made mistakes in the past and gone with an exam-focused training vendor.
The detail..
Today I added over 50 [ASSOCIATE-REFRESHER] lessons to my SA pro course, totalling about 8 hours of theory & demo content. These lessons are optional for students who've used my associate content (architect, developer or sysops) and recommended to students who've used a different vendor at the Associate level.
The lessons uploaded today include newly updated lessons on
- Elastic Block Store
- Instance Store, Encryption
- Elastic Beanstalk
- DNS
- and my CloudFormation mini deep dive.
These are only the start - more refresher lessons will be added over the coming days and weeks, ensuring that everyone has the same opportunity to start studying for the SA Pro.
If you're anxious about your Associate level knowledge, I would suggest considering using one of my Associate courses as a complete refresher. For most students, though, these lessons will provide the knowledge gap fixes they need.

2 年Thank you for this. I'm in a similar situation and I've been scouring reddit and your website for a few days trying to determine if I should take your SAA course first.

3 年Many people underestimate the effort needed to clear AWS SA pro. Even you are a seasoned AWS Solutions Architect with years of hands-on will not "automatically" guarantee you to clear the exam. Putting a lot of effort into using second-rate materials will not help you much. You will only waste your time on those wasteful studies. Yes, I have been there so I know. The SA Pro exam tests your book knowledge, hands-on experience, your English speedreading skills, and finally your test-taking ability. Some questions are crazy long. Many full-time working Solutions Architects cannot clear the exam on their first attempts. Adrian Cantrill teaches you some exam-taking skills that are very critical for your first attempt success. I wish Adrian's SA pro course exist when I prepared for my SA Pro.
