Structure of the Conveyors Belt

Conveyors belt is mainly composed of frame, drive roller, redirecting roller, conveyor belt, tensioning device, driving device, idler and so on.


1. The frame is made of high-quality steel plates or aluminum profiles, and the frame is equipped with belt rollers, idlers, etc., which are used to drive and support the conveyor belt;

2. The roller that drives the conveyor belt to rotate is called the driving roller (transmission roller). The driving roller is driven by the motor through the reducer. The driving roller is generally installed at the discharge end to increase the traction force and facilitate dragging. The material is fed from the feeding end, falls on the rotating conveyor belt, and is transported to the unloading end by the friction of the conveyor belt for unloading;

3. Reversing roller Another roller that only changes the moving direction of the conveyor belt is called the reversing roller;

4. The conveyor belt is used in the belt conveyor to carry and transport materials;

5. The function of the tensioning device is to generate a certain pre-tension on the conveyor belt to prevent the conveyor belt from slipping on the drive drum; at the same time, it controls the deflection of the conveyor belt between the idlers to reduce the conveying resistance;


6. The function of the driving device is that the driving roller transmits the traction force to the conveyor belt through friction to make it move and transport the goods;


7. The idler supports the conveyor belt, so that the sag of the conveyor belt does not exceed the specified limit, so as to ensure the smooth operation of the conveyor belt.

4. The conveyor belt is dragged by the friction between the driving roller and the conveyor belt.
