Strongest Muscle Of Your Mind Is...?

We all know that human body is a team of three things, Body, Mind & Soul, which should work in balance & in tandem, complementing each other, to bring out next, bigger & best version of us. Let me start the conversation with the day-to-day topic about human body, few of us or many of us are familiar with, i.e. the muscles in the body, with below few facts.
I. About 35-42 % of our body weight is made up of muscle tissues, which are either cardiac, smooth or skeletal.
II. There are more than 600 muscle in the human body.
III. There are 13 major muscles from body’s five (5) major muscle groups. Chest, Back, (Arms & Shoulders), Abdominal and (Legs & Buttocks).
This planned digression from the topic was intended to set the context in terms of muscles, their complexities and their functions; now, coming back to appreciate the main topic for mind muscles.
Did you ever think, that Mind too has muscles, which could be build upon, alike body muscles by regular, right and conscious practice, followed with suitable diet?

I would like to re-share a terrific and poignant video with analogy of life and train ride, put across my perspective about few keys muscles of mind.
Giving back, Gratitude, Thankfulness
We receive so much from Mother Earth and Cosmos, since we are born. There is plenty of supply of Air & Sunlight (Water, not sure about it now), that too are free and without any tax. We ought to strive to live by giving back enough with gratitude, to ensure smooth and gracious existence.
This muscle can be build upon by
- Expressing gratitude about each element which has fed us in any, direct or indirect, way
- Volunteering work
- Charity, Scholarships or mentor-ships to folks in need
In Train analogy, We want to reach some destination per our plans. You never know, who might stop the train abruptly by pulling the emergency chain.
Forgiveness
The train ride is too short and uncertain. There will be events & actions, not matching to our ways of thinking. We ought to take everything in stride, in perfect spirit of life-man-ship (co-passenger), by forgiving the opposite party from heart.
This muscle can be build upon by
- Being aware of & accepting the vulnerabilities of self and others at physical, emotional & spiritual levels
- Ready to accept someone who has rubbed you wrongly, without any inhibitions
Self-Awareness , Mindfulness, Remember to remember, Being Present
This muscle can be build upon by
- Seeking answers to deeper questions about Who Am I?, What am I doing?, Why am I doing something?
- Observing the deceptive & ever vacillating thought patterns of our mind, without mind knowing that we are observing, from level of soul or consciousness
- Always remembering that we have to get down at some station, it is only matter of time.
Feedback, Quest to Challenge & Change the Status-Quo
This is very key muscle to make this world a better place for current & future generations by
- Sharing appreciations to boost that good behavior, habit or action at collective levels
- Sharing critical feedback in dignified way, to provide an opportunity to improve
- Seeking to solve the problems for humanity by leading change
Hunger to Learn, Share & Excel
I think, this is the another most important muscle of human mind, which has come long way in existence of life on this planet. The story of growth & advancements in all arenas of human life are testimony to this fact. This muscle can be strengthened by
- Learning from experiences, failures & successes of our own or from others
- Sharing those stories to empower self & others to be more humanly, aware, wise
It is our choice in the end, what all muscles of mind, to keep building upon to realize or tap the human potential to the fullest. The key is to practice these muscle on daily basis to make them stronger everyday.
