Over the past 11 years, BigChange has evolved from a start-up with ambitious dreams into a global technology disruptor. Today, we empower over 2,300 companies of all sizes to eliminate paperwork, reduce carbon emissions, and deliver outstanding service to their customers.

I founded BigChange in 2013, knowing from the outset that our success would hinge on our ability to support our customer’s growth and success. By creating a platform the mobile workforce could rely on, I saw BigChange’s potential to reach unicorn status – a company valued at over $1 billion.

Over the years, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones, from our recognition as an Outstanding Company to Work For to receiving the Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2020. In 2021, an investment by a US-based investment firm Great Hill Partners valued BigChange at ￡100 million. By 2024, we celebrated tracking the 4 billionth mile through our software.

I am thrilled to announce that we’re entering an exciting new chapter: a partnership with Simpro Software that will make my vision of being part of a unicorn a reality.

BigChange has been acquired by Simpro Software , a world leader in global field service management software. This acquisition marks the next phase of our growth journey, allowing us to further develop our platform, creating new features and services to help our extraordinary customers grow and achieve their goals.

Gary Specter , CEO of Simpro Group, shares my passion for customer service and innovation. With an impressive background, including roles at Adobe and IBM, Gary has championed customer-centric strategies that propel organisations forward. Over the past months, we’ve discussed BigChange’s future, aligning seamlessly on both purpose and values.

I would also like to take a moment to recognise the people who have been instrumental to BigChange’s success. None of our growth, none of our accomplishments, would have been possible without them.

First, my family. Their unwavering support has been the foundation of my success. My wife, Amanda Port , deserves particular thanks; she has stood by me even when I wasn’t around as much as I’d like, helping me stay grounded despite the demands of growing a business.

I’m equally grateful to my team, who have worked relentlessly to put customers first and deliver a technology that truly makes a difference. A special thank you to our CEO, Richard Warley CEO, who has kept our vision and values intact, and to Ian Burgess and Paul Witter for their tireless dedication. I would also like to recognise Andrew Scully and Johann Levy , who have been with me since the beginning. Whether here in Leeds or across Europe, our people are BigChange’s lifeblood.

I want to thank our loyal customers, too. Those who took a chance on us in our early days helped shape our product by sharing their insights and needs, enabling us to build a platform that now supports 2,300 companies and over 100,000 mobile and back-office workers.

I also extend my deepest gratitude to our investor, Great Hill Partners . Over the past three and a half years, their team, including Drew Loucks , Chris Busby , Mats H. , Erik K. , Ryan O'Malley and Greg Stewart , as well as advisors Suaad Sait and Mike Profit , have been invaluable partners.
