They say to make the rules during peacetime, not during wartime.
But here we are, with tensions high and a country on edge, days away from an election that feels more like a showdown than a celebration of democracy.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, and it feels like the air is holding its own damn breath.?
Power struggles, old narratives, and cultural biases are front and center, stirring up hot debate and unbridled emotions.
We’re on the brink of a major turning point. #understatementoftheyear
It’s that moment where everyone’s holding their breath, half-expecting either an epic transformation… or, a plot twist we’ll all cringe about for a long time.?
But let’s get beyond what we see on the surface for a moment.
There’s a deeper, spiritual reason behind these dynamics of battle of the sexes and battle for power of the “free” world — and it’s about healing.
In just two short months, we’ll step into 2025, a 9 Universal Year in numerology that challenges us to rethink power and redefine it as something that POSSIBLY (don’t side eye me, yes I said POSSIBLY) we can achieve together.
Here’s how this moment is inviting us to grow spiritually, heal karmic wounds, and rethink love (yes even love), leadership and legacy:
The Spiritual Side of the Showdown
Healing the Masculine & Feminine Divide
This election — and the intensity around it — isn’t just political; it’s muy spiritual.
We’re looking at a huge opportunity to finally address that old imbalance between masculine and feminine energies.
Historically, masculine energy has been associated with logic, control, and authority, while feminine energy has been seen as intuitive, nurturing and collaborative.
But these are complementary forces, not opposites.
I’ve recognized that this is what’s missing from traditional leadership training and that includes traditional “feminine” leadership training as well.
When these energies learn to work together, we get a leadership style that combines strength with empathy, and action with wisdom, not something that leans way too far on either side.
Spiritually speaking, this election is calling out and healing the divide that says only one energy should lead.
Facing Collective Karmic Patterns
Can we talk about an obvious fact?
History has not exactly been equal.
For centuries, masculine dominance has shaped leadership, while feminine voices often went unheard.
And while we’ve come a helluva long way, with this election, those old patterns are up for review, inviting us to face and release them.
Why are we still threatened by each others power?
I dated a man (for two seconds), who was a business owner and a leader in his own right, and was doing some good work in the world but who I found to have nothing but books about war on his night stand and who told me that a woman couldn’t teach him anything.
I mean the man ticked many boxes until he hit me with that…
I thought… “Come on Universe, are you havin’ a laugh?” (that’s me in my British voice)...?
I was merely mentioning to him that we are all both student and teacher in this life, and that we call (attract) people into our lives to help us evolve (whether karmic or soul mates).
He wasn’t having it.
I learned that he’d been painfully wounded in relationships with women, so I gave him grace for seeing as far as he could see, but I was OUT.
I mean, I get it. For some men, seeing women step into power may trigger fears around losing their own role, control, or identity.
If power is seen as a finite resource, women’s leadership may feel like a threat to male authority or identity.
When women succeed, some men may feel inadequate, fearing they might be “left behind” or no longer needed. But this fear often comes from personal insecurities and unprocessed wounds around self-worth.
I for one encourage the journey men will be taking (whether they go willingly or get dragged… karmic lessons misses no one) but we have to remember as women that our job is to avoid taking on the role of fixer or healer and leave relationships that do not help us grow in the long term and seek male allies who respect us as leaders, lovers and builders of legacies too.
Spiritually speaking this election is collectively holding up a mirror and asking, “Are we ready to evolve beyond this?”
This is a chance to recognize the deep-seated fears, biases, and old wounds that come up when a woman challenges for power—and to heal those fears by seeing that power can be shared, not hoarded.?
Embodying Divine Partnership
Look, I’m not about wishful thinking or saying that a knock down, drag out fight isn’t happening right before our eyes, but imagine if we saw this not as a battle but as an invitation for US to model a new kind of leadership—one where we share the proverbial dance floor—one that recognizes the strength in both men and women.
Divine partnership is about balance, not domination.
Having danced with men for over 30 years (ballroom, salsa, etc) there are a few things I’ve picked up regarding leading and following.
Though I was taught that the man leads the dance, in my experience the best partners are the ones who don’t lead like a general storming a battlefield.
The best partners don’t try to take every step or squeeze the life out of the rhythm.
They know it’s a dance, not a drill.
Good leaders, like good dancers, know when to hold firm and when to give space.
They leave a little room for you to add your own flair, like seasoning to a good dish.
They make you feel like you’re part of the rhythm, not just following their steps.
We don’t want to take over; we want to groove together.
We’re not here to outshine or take the lead on every move.
We’re here to bring our own steps, to add depth to the dance.?
And when I miss a step the best leaders are the ones who don’t glare at me like I’ve just spilled red wine on their precious white couch.
They smile, they’re lighthearted and they help me work through the dance step I’m missing without judgment.
When we dance, we’re a team, and sure he’s holding firm to my back, but he doesn’t have me on a leash.
When we let go of the need to “win” and instead focus on collaboration, we’re stepping onto the dance floor together and into a model of leadership that thrives on mutual respect, shared goals, and true partnership.
I know I’m reaching here and making light, knowing that we live in such a chaotic world, but this election could be the wake-up call for us to embrace the idea that men and women can lead together without one needing to overshadow the other.
Now, before you throw up in your mouth about all my dance metaphors just hang in here with me.
I can’t just talk about dance and leadership without talking about “following.”
In traditional dance, the woman’s role as the “follower,” (which so many men would prefer us to be under all circumstances), isn’t about passivity.
In life, being a “follower” when it counts doesn’t mean giving up personal power, vision, or independence.
Rather, it’s embracing a dynamic partnership where each person’s strengths support the other.
This isn’t about black or white thinking, we have to honor the balance of following and leading.?
Following is a Choice, Not a Mandate
When following is a choice rather than an expectation, it becomes an empowered decision.
We are all sovereign beings.
In relationships, this means that women can decide when they want to let a partner lead, knowing they have the autonomy to step forward whenever needed.
Conscious Surrender
Following isn’t about weakness; it’s about trusting a partner’s intentions while staying true to yourself.?
Conscious Surrender — whether personally or professionally — is about choosing to follow someone’s lead because you respect and trust them (not because you’re obligated to do so or because you’re blinded by their seemingly great dance moves).
That’s a form of strength. It reflects a commitment to the partnership and your shared journey.
“Following” & “Leading” Aren’t Fixed Roles
In any partnership, roles shift depending on the situation.?
There are moments when the woman may take the lead, just as there are times when she follows.
This fluidity allows both people to support each other’s growth, taking turns and honoring each person’s natural strengths.
Following as a Path to Growth
Embracing the role of follower in certain areas can be an excellent growth experience, teaching qualities like patience, resilience, and collaboration, and it’s not just something that women “should” do, period.?
When you think it’s something that only women should do, that’s your fear talking.
It doesn’t make men appear weak when you support us to lead where it counts.

I invite men with this fear based thinking to work through insecurities around vulnerability, value, and masculinity to help them see that strength includes openness and empathy.
That sh*t is sexy. Just Sayin’.
We are here to complement each other, not control each other.
Triggering Healing of Old Wounds
Alright enough dance analogies and such…
High-profile competition between a man and a woman as we’re seeing in this election can trigger old wounds and insecurities for everyone.
Maybe it brings up personal experiences of being underestimated or overpowered, or it stirs up ancestral baggage from generations past.
These triggers are opportunities to heal— they ask us to reflect on what’s coming up, why and how we can release these limiting beliefs for good.
The more we heal, the less power these stories hold over us, allowing us to create a legacy of equality, strength, and mutual respect.
Grounded in Reality: My Journey to This Vision
I’m not naive about what we’re up against, especially in the wake of this election and the drama looming in 2025.
My path in relationships has led me through some seriously dominating, controlling, narcissistic, undermining and gaslighting dynamics with both men and women.
That “love & light” girl who believed unconditional love could change others got a rude awakening, learning hard karmic lessons about discernment, boundaries and trusting my own intuition.
And believe me, I know how many people (men and women) will want you to let them cross your boundaries and second guess your intuition for their benefit.
In 2025 we’re not here to appease those who think they can prey on our kindness, and feed off our light, nor do we wish to draw in wounded souls looking for a savior.
They’re journey to taking up their own power in healthy ways will happen when it happens.?
I can still believe that about them without sacrificing myself for them to achieve it.
When I talk about “winning together,” and sharing space on the dance floor, I’m acutely aware of the shadows lurking in this life— both in myself and others.
That’s why Love & War Academy is named for what it is.?
We’re doing the hard work of being true to ourselves, intentionally creating and healing our own shadows in relationships and building what’s real as we share our contributions with the world.
And I believe that in 2025 and beyond, those of us called to lead, love and craft legacies that will transcend us are undeniably better together.
Karmic Leadership Themes for 2025: Love, Leadership & Legacy
1. Transforming Power Struggles into Partnership
What’s Changing: Power struggles won’t vanish, but 2025 calls us to turn them into partnerships that push us to grow and work together. This isn’t about diluting our strengths; it’s about finding ways for both energies to shine.
Why It Matters: When men and women learn to share power, they amplify their impact.?Partnership becomes a force that strengthens, allowing us to build something real.
2. Shifting from Ego-Centered to Soul-Laced Leadership
What’s Changing: A healthy ego can fuel growth, but an unchecked ego isolates. In 2025, we’re invited to lead with soul, to let purpose guide us, aligning our ambitions with something bigger than ourselves.
Why It Matters: Soul-Laced or Purpose-Driven (whatever floats your boat) leadership builds stronger relationships, allowing men and women to lead without dimming each other’s light. It’s not about winning power; it’s about sharing it with those who strengthen our mission.
3. Reclaiming Vulnerability as Strength?
What’s Changing: Vulnerability isn’t a weakness; it’s authenticity. In 2025, strength and vulnerability go hand in hand, helping us build real, resilient connections.
Why It Matters: Authenticity builds trust, creating spaces where people feel valued. It’s a standard that fuels resilience in every relationship.
This goes for women but especially men, because I’m just gonna be honest… 2025 will catch you with your pants down, if you’re trying to fake the qualities of authenticity.
Granted it’s a journey we’re all taking and a talk we’re all trying to walk consistently, but the tell-tale signs of faking empathy, humility or confidence in order to win trust or admiration in 2025 fellas, will reveal if your leadership style is more about image or substance.
You’ve got space to work on that, just remember you’ll be dealing with more and more women who SEE through you cause we’re doing the work too.
Even while relationships can sometimes be messy, we’re looking for leaders, lovers and legacy builders who work to have consistent actions, sincere responses, and an openness to growth that doesn’t require applause (and I hope you’re looking for the same from us cause holding each other accountable shouldn’t be something to fear).
4. Embracing an Abundance Mentality
What’s Changing: The scarcity mindset says one person’s win is another’s loss, but in 2025, we’re moving toward abundance. When we lift each other, everyone grows.
Why It Matters: Embracing abundance means sharing success. Success becomes something we cultivate, not defend, allowing both men and women to thrive without fear.
Letting Go of “Performing” Sisterhood
Ladies, 2025 is also about showing up for each other in a way that’s real, leaving behind “performative” sisterhood — that superficial support that appears supportive on the surface while harboring feelings of competition, jealousy, or judgment.
Performing sisterhood dilutes our authenticity.
When we practice genuine sisterhood (and by God is it a practice), we become more adept at having honest, compassionate and sometimes challenging conversations.
Leaders who can communicate openly, without hidden agendas or suppressed resentment are often seen as more trustworthy and effective.
I like to say if we gotta talk it out, let’s talk it out. Feel free to “Say it witcha’ chest.”
When we genuinely root for each other, we create a foundation of real trust that men respect and respond to as well.
Healing our relationships is not just for our benefit but for the collective good.
Sisterhood built on authenticity doesn’t just empower women; it sets a standard for everyone.
And, when we’re strong allies, men don’t just see our unity — they’re inspired by it, creating a ripple effect that strengthens partnerships on all fronts (so let’s stop frontin’)...
True Power Doesn’t Fear a Woman’s Strength
Men who recognize that a woman’s strength is an asset rather than a threat are grounded in true power.
For a long time, I believed that my worth was tied to being loyal to the men I was with — helping them shine and build their legacies.
But that loyalty to them without loyalty to self, left my dreams sitting in the corner, collecting dust.
Turns out, those experiences were a masterclass in my own power.?
It taught me that no one else should define my worth or purpose.
I realized that the best partners celebrated my strength, encouraged my ambitions (without being phoney), and didn’t look at my dreams as competition.
“Strong” men don’t feel threatened by the idea of a woman who wants to build a legacy right alongside them.
True partnership sees strength as a shared resource, not a one-way street.
Men’s Strength: A Gift, Not a Contest
I want to be clear, I’m not here to throw stones at the men and relationships from my past and hide my hands, I’m a work in progress too and I was just as much their student as they were mine.?
And here’s what I’m standing on…
Men’s strength is a gift — not because it dominates, but because it has tremendous capacity to support.?
In 2025, strength will look different — it will look like honoring boundaries, engaging in real conversations, and building relationships that are rooted in authenticity.
Men who are secure in their own power know that a woman standing in hers isn’t a threat; it’s an asset.
In 2025, true leaders — men and women alike — are those who recognize that everyone’s strengths are essential.?
The only competition here is to see how much impact we can make together.
The Courage to Blaze a New Trail
To the trailblazers out there (men and women): healing old stories of toxic competition and division takes guts.
But we’re here to break the cycle.
Choosing collaboration over conquest, trust over fear, and partnership over hierarchy isn’t for the faint of heart, but it’s the kind of courage we need to redefine strength in 2025.
The Real Power Move in 2025
In 2025, the real power move is recognizing that power isn’t a limited resource but something we can amplify together.
It’s about creating a foundation of shared purpose.
Power shared is power amplified.
So here’s to getting through this raging dumpster fire of an election and ushering in a 2025 where we redefine strength, embrace partnership, and lead like we’re all in this together — because we are, and we’re stronger together.
If the world was ending I’d wanna be next to you. ??

4 个月Deani! You totally take me back to that moment while we were all together in Cali and had to dance with no music in one of our sessions… you were the one giggling with me. I think I wrote about that in one of my last posts. Happy to connect again. Thank you for your acknowledgments. Sending love back your way. ??
