Be Strong, Don’t Give Up: Your Reward is Coming

Be Strong, Don’t Give Up: Your Reward is Coming

Today’s Scripture:

"But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." (2 Chronicles 15:7)

Today’s Word:

Life can often feel like it’s standing still. You pray, you believe, and yet it seems like nothing is shifting. These moments can feel like a night season—when everything is quiet, hope seems distant, and you wonder if change will ever come. But even in these times, you’re not alone. God is with you, and He’s working behind the scenes.

Think about a gardener who plants seeds in the soil. For weeks, it looks like nothing is happening. The ground appears unchanged, but beneath the surface, roots are forming, preparing to push through. This is how our faith works. Just because we don’t see results right away doesn’t mean that God isn’t at work. He is faithful, and He moves even when we can’t see it.

A beautiful example of this is found in the story of Elijah and the widow at Sidon (1 Kings 17). In a time of drought, the widow had only a small amount of flour and oil left, enough for one last meal. She was ready to give up. But when Elijah asked her for food, she gave what little she had in faith. To her amazement, God provided for her needs, multiplying her oil and flour throughout the entire famine. Her act of faith unlocked God’s provision, even in a time of uncertainty.

This story reminds us that, in our own seasons of struggle, God is still working. He can take the little strength, faith, or resources we have left and multiply them in miraculous ways. Like the widow, we’re called to keep believing, keep trusting, and never give up. Our faithfulness will be rewarded in ways we cannot yet see.

A close friend of mine went through a tough season of unemployment. He applied for jobs and went to interviews, but each door seemed to close. It was discouraging, and he wondered if God had forgotten him. But instead of losing hope, he continued trusting in God’s plan. One day, seemingly out of nowhere, he received a job offer that was far better than he had ever expected. In hindsight, he realized that God had been preparing this perfect opportunity all along, working behind the scenes when he couldn’t see it.

Just like my friend, you might be going through your own night season right now. Whether it’s in your relationships, your health, your finances, or your faith, the waiting can feel overwhelming. But remember, God is at work behind the scenes, and your breakthrough is on its way. The morning will come—it’s not a matter of if, but when.

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You for being with us in every season, especially in the night seasons when it’s hard to see Your hand at work. Help us to remain strong, to keep our eyes on You, and to trust that You are working everything out for our good. We believe that in Your perfect timing, You will bring us through and into the light of Your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today's Blessing:

May the Lord bless you with the strength to keep moving forward, even when the way ahead seems unclear.

May He multiply your faith, just as He did for the widow at Sidon, and may your night season give way to the dawn of God’s provision.

Your reward is coming, and your breakthrough is on the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Golden Nugget:

Remember, God does His greatest work in the dark. Though you may feel stuck in a night season, keep trusting, keep believing, and don’t give up. The morning is coming, and your faithfulness will be rewarded.

Conclusion:

Life’s challenges are often a sign that we are in a season of growth. God uses these moments to shape us, strengthen us, and prepare us for greater things. Even when it feels like you’re walking through darkness, keep your eyes on Him and trust that He is working behind the scenes. Your morning is on the way, and your reward is closer than you think.

Have a blessed and happy new week, trusting that God is with you in every season. Keep the faith and watch as He turns your night into day.
