It seems like everyday brings about a new must-try makeup trend. As soon as you master a new term to translate, a new one pops up and you need to go searching for it in beauty magazines.

STROBING is this month’s gem.

What Is Strobing?

Strobing is a technique that only uses light to enhance your face, no bronzer or dark powders involved here.

How do you strobe ?

Strobing relies solely on highlighters and natural light to define your face and radiate a youthful look. The products are applied where light would naturally hit your face (so, your cheekbones, brow bones, the center of your forehead, down your nose).

This trend is about healthy-looking skin rather than the sculpting you get with contouring. When you highlight first, the contours in the face naturally come forward.

Now that you are officially trained in the art of strobing, let’s learn how to translate it when you see it in your projects :  YOU DON’T. As a lot of these makeup techniques, the name remains the same.
