8 年Hi Brett, as I commented on Dan Montgomery's post, my problem with this article is that it is based on the false assumption that stretch goals / Moonshots are supposed to be reached all the time, as the authors repeatedly criticize companies that do not reach their stretch goals. As they mentioned in the end of the article, Diageo's achievements should be celebrated and "would have been unlikely if the company had 'set targets that are readily achieved.'" I think that the best approach is to understand where your organization needs predictable goals and where it needs true Moonshots: "If you are always reaching 100% of your goals, they are too easy".
