The Stressful Global Economy: It's Hurting Your Wallet and Your Health!

We are all feeling the stress of your uncertain global economy.?Not only is it affecting your wallet, but it is affecting your health as well.?When this stress carries on for months, it turns into chronic stress!?

Prices have been going up on all the things we purchase.?

More and more people are trying to pay their bills each month.

They are trying to make adjustments in their spending and spending less.

This decrease leads to stress on businesses.

Business costs are increasing while profits are decreasing.

Food shortages are predicted.

Gas prices will be going back up!

Car insurance rates have increased since repairs are costing more.

Job layoffs are forecasted for the near future.

Interest rates just went up. Lending rate increases are sure to follow.

Fuel costs this winter will be rising as we try to heat our homes.

Credit card interest rates are going up just when families are relying on credit to make ends meet.

Mortgage interest rates are going up, leading to a slow down in the housing market.

Less houses being built means less construction jobs.

Increased mortgage rates mean a decrease in home sales.

People are seeing their retirement funds take a nosedive!

Those near retirement age are looking at working longer until they can see their funds recover.

I could go on for pages!?But, you get the stressful picture!?You feel it!?We all do!

I’m sure this information is not new to anyone!?We’ve been watching it happen before our eyes for months.?This is not a writing of who’s to blame.?I’m just pointing out?that we all see it and we all feel the stress as individuals, as a family, as consumers, and as business owners. Not only is stress affecting our wallet, but it is also affecting our health!?

For many, it used to be that we’d only be worried about finances when those unplanned expenses came along!?Now people are spending sleepless nights worrying about how they are going to make ends meet or which bill to pay.?This stress can take a serious toll on our health if we don’t take steps to manage our stress.?

Many people have turned to their faith and have found hope in better days to come.

This is a time to think outside the box and figure out ways to trim your budget and create more income for yourself and your family.

That means, that when opportunities come your way, be open to them.?They could be a life event that happens FOR you!

It is so easy to get wrapped up in all the economic struggles currently going on and feel like we are in a downward spiral.?That downward thinking leads to negativity, anxiety, depression, and more stress.?

I personally believe that life happens for you, not to you.?When life knocks you down, you get up with determination to be stronger!?I am grateful for the struggles I have had in life that have made me stronger!?

I know that sometimes it is hard but, be grateful for what you have and practice gratitude every day.?That will go a long way towards guarding your health and managing stress.?

Stress has a harmful affect on the body and our physical health.?People can experience many symptoms from stress including headaches, heartburn, stomach aches, chest pain, depression, anxiety, trouble sleeping, weight gain, high blood sugars, high blood pressure, a suppressed immune system, and body aches and pains just to name a few!

We must do all we can to try to minimize our stress. Stress will always be with us in one form or another.?Sometimes, there are multiple stressors in our life! ?My Dad always says, “There will always be something!” ?We have to take steps to manage our stress to protect our health because stress will always be there!

Let’s begin to think of it this way…. We see that stress affects your health.?Let’s flip the script and start thinking of taking care of our health to help manage the stress.?That stress that will always be there in one form or another.??

Think of your health as an armor over your body to protect your in a fencing match. Your opponent will always be coming at you with their sword.?When you have that armor of health around you, you will be able to fight back!?

Let’s start working on your health, mindset, and managing your stress. ?You will be amazed how it changes your life This is the last quarter of 2022!?Time to get going and work on YOU so you will be strong for those better days to come!?Surround yourself with positive people who are working on their own health!?
