Stress Management
Recently i have done quite a lot of reading around this topic area. Striving to continuously improve in every possible area. Some authors massively over engineer methods and philosophy on it for me .
The more i read about it the more it became clear to me that controlling the controllables and doing the simple things correctly have major positive influences on your stress levels and the management of stress. I have been terrible in the past at managing this. However when you understand the triggers and understand how to manage it , your in control.
I myself now embrace stress, to a point. I accept stress comes with territory. It comes with being successful and striving to be better. It can be used as fuel to drive you on, What i don't accept is unnecessary stress. This is stress that can and should be easily avoided.
Anyway here are some very basic tips on how to manage your stress levels. Some highly successful and renowned people follow these very basic guidelines. I am going to implement some of these in 2019. Some i already practice.
1- Pay your bills early and in full (if and when possible)- I don't do this currently but i aim to in 2019.
2- Cut toxic people from your life - i do this and most recently only a few weeks ago, it works.
3- Regularly maintain your vehicle and home. In 2019 i will address this vehicle wise.
4- Smile when you make eye contact with other people even strangers. Smiling evokes happiness, happiness reduces stress.Try it even for a day. I do and it works .
5- Have 6 months of living expenses in the bank. On my 2019 to do list.
6- Tell your family you love them daily. Already a given for me but you would be surprised the amount of people who don't have time to take the time and practice this.
7- Last but certainly not least, tell yourself you love you and that you are doing your very best each day. An area of focus for me in 2019.
Hope someone somewhere finds this useful. I did.
Thank you for reading.
