Hello and happy Sunday,
Welcome to another. YOU GOT THIS! Newsletter.
The European Championship is in full swing, and many are eagerly awaiting Sunday, hoping their team advances.
The German team has already proceeded to the quarter-finals!
Are you watching the games too? Have you noticed a coach being on the field? Imagine if he constantly ran onto the pitch, taking the ball and shooting—chaos would ensue, and the team's morale would plummet.
Your team feels the same when you can't let go. Lead confidently from the sidelines, trust in your team's abilities, and motivate like football/soccer coaches.
But now, let's focus on your career. In today’s edition of my newsletter, I′ll write about these three topics:
?? My latest learning: Allow yourself a moment of reflection
?? Career Inspiration: Half-time 2024 - What's your scoring record?
?? Female Leadership: Master the Art of Saying 'No'!
Would you like to write to me? Hit reply or send me a DM.
I always welcome feedback, improvement suggestions, and new newsletter ideas. What would you like to read about here?
Have a wonderful week!
Best Regards, Katharina
?? My latest learning: My latest learning: Allow yourself a moment of reflection
?"If you have one problem and don't want to have it, then you already have two."
You probably know the little moments of stress that often make our everyday lives stressful. You're rushing to an appointment and are stuck in a traffic jam. A mix of feelings and thoughts build up inside you: You get angry at the other drivers, you're afraid of the embarrassing moment when you're late, you worry about what others might think of you, you feel powerless and at the mercy of the situation. So, in addition to the problem of being stuck in a traffic jam, you have gained a whole host of other issues - namely, all the unpleasant feelings that are tormenting you at that moment.
Your cortisol level rises, but the situation doesn't change. Every day, we are at the mercy of many minor stressors that cause our stress levels to skyrocket together. In the long term, these micro stressors can make us ill and even lead to burnout. But there are ways to maintain your composure in such moments.
These are my three steps for stressful moments:
If I can't change anything right now, I accept the situation. My mantra is: It is what it is.
I take a deep breath and put distance between myself and my emotions.
I take responsibility for my decision and consider what I can do differently.
Many things happen at once here: By taking responsibility for the situation, I move out of the victim role and into self-determination. After all, I decided to get into the car. And if a situation cannot be changed at that moment, I can always accept what is happening and manage my thoughts and feelings.
It's a real game changer when you realize this: You are not your emotions or your thoughts; you have these emotions and thoughts, and you can learn to change them.
That's how I get more inner balance in my life.
?? Career Inspiration: Half-time 2024 - What's your scoring record?
Were you also committed to taking off professionally this year? You set clear goals for 2024, but when you look at your plan now, you can hardly tick anything off. Everything seemed to be well thought out and feasible.
But then unexpected professional challenges piled up:
?? Colleagues dropped out,
?? Customers or bosses changed their minds,
?? Deadlines & additional tasks were added
?? On top of that, there were family issues.
Suddenly, you had a mess of obligations, and it became increasingly difficult to keep track of everything. The feeling of no longer being effective is draining and you are doubting yourself. You are not alone in this. Other ambitious women are in the same situation.
It's all about the issues:
?? Clearly defining priorities

?? Setting boundaries
?? Letting go
?? Keeping focus
?? Communicate appreciatively.
In a group of like-minded people, it's much easier to keep going, reflect and achieve your goals, even if life throws everything into disarray. This can make your job and life more fun again. Are you interested in joining a group like this? Or want some 1:1 coaching. Then reply to this email.
?? Female Leadership: Master the Art of Saying 'No'!
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by saying "yes" to things you really wanted to say "no" to?
You're not alone. Many of us struggle with the habit of people-pleasing, often at the cost of our own comfort and time. But it's time to change that.
It’s one thing to know that being assertive means saying no to things you don’t want to do - the real challenge is doing it.
This week's challenge is about saying "no" – a simple yet profound skill that can transform your personal and professional life.
Here's How to Tackle the Challenge:?
?? Reflect on your boundaries: Start by identifying situations where you typically say "yes" but prefer to say "no." Recognize your limits and honor them.
?? Download my guide, “The Art of Saying NO.”:?? This guide will provide you with different phrases you can use to say no. Please read them and grab the ones that feel most authentic to you.
?? Commit to practicing: Choose at least three situations this week where you will say "no." Observe how it feels and the outcome of your decision.
Remember, saying "NO" is not just about rejecting offers or requests; it's about respecting and valuing your own time and needs. Let's embark on this journey together and learn the art of saying "no" with confidence and grace!
??Change starts with you
Nothing will change unless you change something! It's up to you!
The alternative: Keep doing what you're doing...
I wish you a great week; enjoy life, and remember to SHOW UP!
If you say what you want, you increase the chance of being heard! ??
Have a great day, and remember, it is the one who gives up and does not reach success.
And now I wish you all the best and talk soon!
Best Regards, Katharina
