Are you feeling on edge lately? Overwhelmed and easily irritated? Is your sleep a mess, leaving you tossing and turning with racing thoughts?
If you nodded to these experiences, you’ve stumbled upon the perfect article.
We’ve diagnosed you with a common problem,?stress!
“Oh, I am so stressed.” “It’s been a “stressful day.” “It’s not worth the stress.” “The stress is making my hair fall out.” “Well, that sounds stressful.”
Have you ever noticed how often we use these phrases in daily conversations with peers? They slip out effortlessly, especially when our schedules become busier than ever or when unexpected things disrupt our routine. This word has become so familiar that we often overlook its true meaning. We throw it around casually without considering how it truly affects our bodies and how it comes into being. But don’t worry; you are not alone in this journey! In a constantly changing world, keeping up with the ever-increasing pace is getting harder. Every day brings new challenges, competitions, and obstacles that require our attention and strength.
“Ever thought about how your body adapts to these constant changes?”
According to Medical News Today, our body prepares the system with its natural defense by releasing hormones to evade or confront danger. It’s like a built-in defense mechanism called the “Fight or Flight” response. In simpler terms, we call it stress. Stress is triggered by various challenging situations, such as rushing to work or school on time, before a deadline, and more. On the other hand, stress can be a powerful motivator that pushes us to achieve great things.

Stress is sometimes a good thing. Think about the feeling we experience when standing on stage, waiting to captivate a crowd or the nervous excitement we feel on our wedding day. These are examples of temporary, “good” stress. However, when stress sticks around for too long, it can exhaust us mentally and emotionally, draining our motivation. It can trigger additional issues like anxiety, overthinking, panic attack, or impulsive decision-making.
To conquer stress and restore balance to our lives, we can incorporate the following practices into our daily routine:
Stress is our creation, and it’s up to us to eradicate it. Our reaction to most unannounced things is to panic, which creates unwanted stress. Let’s accept the situation at hand and find ways to tackle it. What has been done can’t be reversed but can be dealt with, and a solution can be found. Following these simple steps, we can harness our minds and energy toward positive activities. This will help us to feel lighter, more at ease, making us reach our highest potential.
