Is stress good or bad for our bodies? How does stress affect our hormones and our menstrual cycle? How do you know when you are too stressed, and when do you need to see a Doctor? How do you downregulate stress? What is a good Heart Rate Variability? How do I know if my cortisol levels are too high? How to get better sleep when you are stressed?
These are all great questions asked to me recently, and there are so many more.
I have really enjoyed joining Talilla Henchoz as part of her Realign 90 programme over that past few months, answering questions from her members and chatting at length about how stress affects both our physical and mental health. I feel I have learned a great deal, reading around the subject, listening to podcasts, asking my patients for their experiences and reflecting on my own feelings.
My learning is that for many of us -we need to manage our stress better, to learn to say no more, to be strict with our boundaries and to prioritise our self-care.

11 个月I have been on this journey myself over the last year... and have managed to change my habits from working late into the night to now getting some proper sleep and I can't believe how much better I feel! It's not rocket science - but it's amazing how long I had been starving my body of sleep without fully recognising the impact. I thought I was fine.
