A study from Manager Magazine shows:
?
Three quarters of managers take work with them for the weekend, but want more time for themself
Around a third of managers never take a break, but feel overloaded?
More than half of managers regularly complain about back and joint pain, sleep disorders and stress, but want to feel healthy and full of energy
?
Leaders spend 80% of their working hours under stress. And stress is nothing more than your body going into fight and flight mode and therefore into survival mode. There is no lion in the meeting room, just your employees, colleagues or the internal pressure. The problem is, in this state you condition your body to fear, frustration, aggression, doubt and competition day after day and week after week. And you wonder where all the joy, fun and fulfillment went while working?
?
I used to feel that way too. A busy schedule, one meeting after another without much benefit. I already planning in my head again what I have to do with the workshop team tomorrow to achieve the results and then quickly drive to the next customer.? In survival mode, you cannot feel positive emotions and at the same time the lion eats not you, but your energy.?
Your energy and emotions...
If you cannot control your emotions you cannot control your money”– Warren Buffett
??
If you want to change your emotions, understand that there are 3 different types of stress?

?
Which you can only change on subconscious level and if you balance 2 of the 3 types in order to achieve stability. But some companies try with “work life balance” to change the emotional world on a conscious level and only hit the symptom and not the root cause.
?
Your causes lie on an emotional level. And you feed your lion with these emotions through your decisions, your subconscious questions, your self-image and thoughts. Often there are thoughts that I hear from leaders in seminars or coaching like:?
…because behind these sentences there are needs and emotions such as feeling important, getting recognition, wanting to control everything, being loved or the fear of not being good enough.
When you shift your paradigms and perception, you shift your whole view on your results with the same or better outcome.
?
If you change from the survival mode to the creation mode you improve your results. Maybe you want more time with your family/ partner or more time for sports and more time for leisure, but your subconscious patterns keep you in survival mode and eat up your energy. Then don't let the lion eat your energy, but feed the lion what he needs and loves.
?
Who can you be and what results can you achieve in your team or company, when your energy can really recharge?
