Stress Causes and Management

Stress is our body’s response to changes in our life. We are stressed by jobs, relationships, financial issues, health problems, and more mundane things like clutter or busy schedules.

Treating Stress with Lifestyle Changes:

  1. Exercise Regularly 
  2. Get Enough Sleep
  3. Eat healthy food full of Carbohydrates and Vitamin A along with drinking lot of water, Green Tea.
  4. Eat Fruits, Vegetables and Drink lot of Fresh Fruit Juices
  5. Listen to your favorite music, play any instruments or learn if you want to, take a long bath, get a massage, write a journal, talk to your friends or family.
  6. Practice Yoga, Meditation and Breathing exercises like Pranayama and Kapalabathi.
  7. Engage in writing, drawing, painting, cooking, dancing.


Treating Stress with Mental Activities:

1. Look at the best outcomes or opportunities in any situation.

2. Be realistic, prioritize your tasks, do your unpleasant tasks at the start of day when you are abundance of energy versus at the end of the day.

3. You have to do introspection to understand the things and try to counter those things slowly and steadily.

4. Accept that some things are uncontrollable.

5. Learn to say No on occasions. 

6. Develop a Sense of Humor
