Strengthening Our Presence in UAE and Oman with New Country Representatives
Filipino Nursing Diaspora Network
Connecting Filipino nurses across the globe
In a significant move toward enhancing its global outreach, the Filipino Nursing Diaspora (FiND) Network has appointed two nursing colleagues as country representatives in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. Ms. Raquel Lim-Masaga, a senior manager at a leading UAE-based hospital, and Ms. Arcalyd Rose Ramos Cayaban, a lecturer at the College of Nursing, Sultan Qaboos University, will spearhead the network's initiatives in their respective regions.
The role of the country representatives involves acting as liaisons between the network and Filipino nurses in the region, fostering collaboration with local healthcare institutions, and advocating for the welfare of Filipino nursing professionals. This voluntary position spans two years, with opportunities for renewal.
Expressing her commitment, Raquel stated, "I am honored to represent the Filipino Nursing Diaspora Network in the UAE. This role allows me to contribute to the development and well-being of our Filipino nursing community in the region."
Arcalyd Rose added, "As a lecturer, I see the immense potential for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Serving as the country representative is a chance to strengthen the bonds within our diaspora."
The President of the Filipino Nursing Diaspora Network, Professor Violeta Lopez, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Raquel and Arcalyd Rose to our network's leadership. Their expertise and dedication will play a crucial role in advancing our mission and supporting Filipino nurses in the UAE and Oman."
This strategic expansion aligns with the network's commitment to fostering a global community and addressing the unique needs of Filipino nursing professionals worldwide.
