Strengthening our focus and accelerating efforts on ESG

The Infinigate Group will strengthen its focus on optimising the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy in our next fiscal year, which begins on April 1st. Key to this will be achieving net zero earlier than originally planned – our previous plan was to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035. As a contribution to this, we recently planted another forest on the island of Madagascar. The first Infinigate forest, planted in Ecuador in November 2022, alone has already absorbed around 50,000 kg of carbon dioxide.

On top of this, last year we adopted several corporate policies, particularly in the areas of “social” and “governance”. These included an overarching one for ESG as well as specific policies for equality, diversity – women already represent a third of our staff, which is above the industry standard – and inclusion, health and safety, modern slavery, and a whistleblower reporting system.

2023 was also a record one for charity at the Infinigate Group. In Germany alone, more than €82,000 was raised for four child protection organisations by the “Charity Dinner” and the “Innovation Summits”. In the UK and Ireland, we support organisations that help children affected by autism, families with children who have cancer, and one dedicated to general mental health.

Our CEO, Klaus Schlichtherle, says: “As a company, we help overcome threats in cyberspace. It only makes sense for us to further increase our efforts towards sustainability in the physical world, too. Just as we are at the forefront of developing the future VAD business model, we will also be at the forefront of fulfilling the ESG criteria. Given the multitude of environmental and social challenges facing our world today, including climate change, social inequality, and human rights violations, everyone must do their part.”
