Americas BPS Face-to-Face Workshop in Bogota
Members of the Business Process Solutions (BPS) Americas Regional Working Group (RWG) met for?two days of face-to-face workshops?in Bogota, Colombia on June 6th?and 7th, 2023.
The event was attended by over 20 representatives for 11 countries across Americas (see the list at the bottom), 1 representative from GT Spain (working closely with the region), as well as our Global BPS Leader?Xavier Lecaille?and Manager?Karol Grzych, both from GT France.
Workshops
The meeting began with Xavier reminding the group of BPS scope, footprint, strategy, objectives and initiatives. He concluded by providing latest news on GTI’s Channel Choice policy, and its impacts. Then, RWG leaders provided updates on actions plan revolving around the 4 main pillars – technology, business development, people and culture, and sustainability.
The first session was dedicated to a brief presentation of?each attending country’s scope?(number of offices and collaborators, total revenue, etc.), with an ensuing focus on?their BPS practices:
From a?technology?perspective, external representatives from TOTVS and Netsuite intervened during the workshop. They shared with the group a proposal on how each tool can support GT Member Firms. The latter are looking for a common regional accounting tool to increase chances of winning international proposals, and to provide a better client service experience through improved capabilities.
In terms of?business development, the group started by reviewing regional rate cards, and discussing about potential challenges related to its maintenance and use. Moreover, in an effort to align the proposal response process, attendees agreed on the standardized template for gathering information from new potential clients.
Eventually, the meeting was closed with a discussion around?People and Culture, with each country sharing their best practices for attracting and retaining talent. Despite the region’s size and diversity, common challenges emerged in terms of attracting and retaining talent. Participants shared their countries’ best practices and ideas in that matter. Additionally, they started assessing the interest for a potential Secondment Program, as well discussing what the prerequisites and rules could look like.
