-Strength for Today- "The Wonderments of the World, versus The Word of God." - 2 Corinthians 5:17
Life is filled with memories and messages, that’ll take you of course, if you aren’t sure of your destiny. Because the conscience of mankind is shaped by what is
· Heard and that which is
· Seen.
In today’s world there’s a “blindness” when it comes to “knowing the truth. In that if you’re not studying the Word of God for yourself, much of what you deem as being the “revealed” Word of God, is just a feeling of “awed amazement; a feeling that’ll take you off course, leaving you “spiritually dry,” on a mountain top with an “emotional high,” laden there in a sense of “wonder”.
-Strength for Today- "The Wonderments of the World, versus The Word of God." - 2 Corinthians 5:17
A feeling of “wonderment,” doesn’t carry with it any sense of “stability”, nor does it offer “second chances". Because what you have before you are but memories in the making, which is a deposit of “zeal” that you knowingly placed in the bank of time. But listen, the Word of God, isn’t about “wonderments”, but is all about divine purpose. The Word of God, carries with it a divine “transforming.” A power, which gives all mankind the opportunity to have a “second ’change” in life. Because when Adam and Eve blew it in the Garden of Eden their “spiritual lives” reflected their consciousness of the god they’d chosen. Yet, God didn’t just write them off and move on. Because He, in eternity past, made an ultimate decision, (Genesis 3:15), that He’d rescue man from his “spiritual demise”.
Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Ye must be born again,” (John 3:3), because, none of us will start in the middle, we all need a new beginning. Paul said, “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new”. -2 Corinthians 5:17.
Look at it this way, from this side of glory, life might seem boring without the “wonderments” that’s glowing in the world. We see the tapestry of life from underneath and
· Its full of knots,
· Its threads are twisted and
· Its ends are frayed.
That lack the amazed “lustful” things of the world. But from God's perspective, looking at the top of the fabric, it’s all under control. So I say to you:
· Think before you speak “zealous words”, that can wound one’s soul, and
· Purposefully pause and pray
Before you act, because your action can create a deep “chasm” in the minds of those of whom you speak by causing them to be “emotionally high,” but void of hope and their purpose for life. So make every minute count, because today is a memory in the making; a day to live and trust the Lord for who He is, and for what He’s done!
